We recieved our docs for our 1/16 Westerdam cruise today, and even though we have been on four HAL cruises this is the first time I actually bothered to read all that fine print in the contract. Some of it is kind of funny, my favorite is..
"This fare has been established on the basis of our assumption that the total value of your property that you are taking with you on the cruise, cruisetour, and HAL Land Trip will not exceed $100."
Wow, I guess I better leave the camera at home...fat chance.

o.k. Now that's funny.
Enjoy your cruise.

That's because, that is all they will give you if the ship sinks. I kthink it will be a ship board credit on top of that. :D (This is a ha ha thing).

I don't think it is $100 shipboard credit.
More like $100 towards your next cruise.

Yup, reading fine print is usually a gas. That's why we lawyers are such a jolly group. ;)

Did you mean to say this?:
Yup, reading fine print is usually a gas.
Or did you mean to say it gives you gas?

I just happened across this thread and it's a riot! I wonder how many people actually read it to that degree. I'm a reader and I have to admit I missed that! So funny.:)

Maybe a visit to our homeowner's insurance agent is in order with our receipts for digital camera, jewelry, etc. that we'll be taking on the cruise.

If you purchased any travel insurance, that number increases.
