We'll be on the Quest in Feb/Mar 2010 and were wondering-
Will Azamara cash traveler's checks on board? Is there a limit and do they cash only in US dollars or do they also provide some local currency exchange?
Really, Really looking forward to our trip!
Thanks for your advice.

I did a search on this forum and found this:

I researched this earlier and thought about bringing TCs but decided US cash for what I needed in a money belt was easier. From what I have read they do not deal in other currencies.

Hi,
I would Imagine you are sailing Singapore to Hong Kong,
The Purser will cash $ T/Chqs and I would think that it will be easy enough to change Dollars at the Ports of Call,
Usually there are plenty of places that will convert $$$ into local currency.
I wouldn't worry too much.

If you are going on a European cruise, they have US$ and Euros on the ship.

Yes- we are doing the Singapore to Hong Kong itinerary.
I really hate carrying large quantities of cash with me, even in a money belt, so we usually bring a combination of cash and traveler's checks to manage payment for private tours, misc. local shopping, and tips in ports.
HAL was very good about cashing traveler's checks when we were in South America. I just wanted to make sure we could do the same on Azamara.
