Pam, We never tried one as I've read that they are more for people that are suffering from seasickness (kind of chintzy). If you are booked in a Suite, I believe that there is a much nicer appetizer choice. We always book an SS on the Navigation deck so I just skip one floor up to the Lido buffet, get a nice plate of cheese's, veggie's and dessert items and take it down to the cabin where we enjoy them on our balcony! Have a great voyage!! Chef Nancy:)

On our Nov cruise on Maasdam I was able to call room service and ask for a cheese plate - I was even able to specify what cheeses I wanted - blue and brie. The plate came with nice fruit and walnuts as well as crackers. Very different from "mal de mer" cheese and crackers.

We have always been able to order a cheese platye - no problem - asked us what kind of cheese we wanted.

If you have a cabin that has a refrigerator, you can always get a plate full of cheese either at breakfast or lunch in the Lido and then put it in the refrigerator until cocktail time.
