Transportation from airport, Ft. Lauderdale

My wife and I are taking our first cruise out of Port Everglades and we're wondering if there is a shuttle between the airport and the cruise terminals. If we have to take a taxi, does anyone know what area of Port Everglades is used for the Oosterdam?

Take the taxi. I don't remember the exact cost but it is about 10.00 or 12.00. When you enter Port Everglades there are signs listing each ship with the pier number. Just tell the taxi driver you are sailing on the Oosterdam and he will have no problem.

There are no shuttles between Ft Lauderdale airport and the pier.

But there are plenty of taxis - $10 - $12 plus tip.

Have ready your cruise ticket and ID - you will need to show these at the security check point before you actually enter into the pier area.

There are lots of sign - the taxi drivers know the area very well.

HAL usually uses terminal 26 if that is the only ship HAL has in Ft Lauderdale that day.

Also - disembarkation day - there will be plenty of taxis at the pier to take you back to the airport.
