I just went ahead and made Pinnacle reservations for Monday night, which is the same day as HMC. For those who remember what was served on which nights, will I be missing anything special in the MDR that night?

I purposely didn't reserve for either of the formal nights because from what I can vaguely recall, prime rib is served on the first formal night and surf and turf is the second formal night. Is this right?

we, too, try to book the Pinnacle on nonformal nights. I don't know if you will miss anything but the dinner in the Pinnacle will be a treat. Usually some of the nights in the DR are predictable but then they fool ya.

I haven't done the southern, but I have done both the western and eastern on the Westerdam. On both ships prime rib was served the first night on board, not on formal night. The first formal night was beef wellington, I think. The second formal night was surf and turf.

We just returned from the 7-day Southern on the Westerdam. I am about 90% sure there was no Prime Rib on Formal nights. I think it was actually on Sunday night or Monday night. I know I had it one of those nights. On the first formal night I had the Surf and Turf (Filet and Shrimp) and I had the Surf and Turf again on the 2nd Formal (Filet and Lobster Tail). Fwiw, the Filet was the star on the first FOrmal, and the Lobster was the star of the second (the filet was smaller and a little lower quality). Needless to say, both were great. We love eating in the Pinnacle, but am glad we did not this past week. Our food was wonderful every night in the MDR. If we were going to eat in the Pinnacle, based on the menu alone, it would have been on Thursday night (Curacao). Our veal was terrific, but that was probably the night with the fewest options we like. Hope that helps.

On the Westerdam (S-Carib) last month, here is what the entrees' were on Monday evening:
Indian Red Lentil Dahl;
Chicken Cubano;
Roast Pork Loin (wife had it and it was excellent);
Braised Short-Ribs;
Sole Filet with Caribbean Salsa (this is what I had and it was YUMMY!);
Chicken and Salad;
Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Conti (ham & noodles)

On the first formal, we had Filet Mignon & jumbo Prawns
On the second formal night, we had Filet Mignon & nice sized Lobster tails

Would it be too much for me to ask you to scan them? Or else could you list the entrees for each night? I'll completely understand if either is too much trouble, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks!

Besides the Formal Night menu you listed, that was definitely NOT the Monday menu this past week on the Westerdam. Most of those items were not listed the entire week. I am positive the Prime Rib was Sunday or Monday (my wife and I both had it). What this should tell us is that the menu changes and there are no guarantees when it will be.
