There were a few people that told me to buy Ozium to eleminate any smoke odors in the room because using Febreeze is irritating to an asthmatic. I looked at several grocery stores and Target. I have not found the product. Safeway will order the product for me if I have the manufacturer's information. Would someone either email me the information or put it up on the board. I appreciate your help. Be sure you put either Ozium or CC in the subject line. Thanks!

I am very sensitive to smoke and smoke odor and when our S suite was smelly on a recent trip I asked for an "ozone generator" or something like that and it took away the odor. They have them on the ship and it plugs in and has a small fan in it. It worked so well, we shut it off after a couple of days but when we did the smell was back. So, turned it back on and all was ok.

Thanks Gary. What line were you on. I am wondering if NCL would have the air purifier. Maybe I can call their customer service line and see if they can help me.

If Gary was in an S suite I'd guess he was on HAL

You can get Ozium in an auto supply store such as Checker or Pep Boys or Auto Zone.

We were on HAL Amsterdam. Most hotels have these also, so I would hope most cruise lines would as well.

Most pet stores will also have Ozium. It is widely used by cat breeders to counteract the pungent smell left by a spraying male. I believe is also comes in a liquid, if you don't want the aerosol can.

I read on another posting that Ozium is also available at Walmart. Had not heard that Fabreze can cause problems for people with asthma. Thanks for info.

Julie, I don't know your timing, but I just did a Google search and it lists a number of places you can order Ozium directly yourself. Try that. If you are so sensitive to this type of product (like Febreze), I'm not sure that an aerosol Ozium is going to be good for you either.

I do not have asthma, but my nose fills up and I sneeze alot when around Fabreze sprayed clothes or rooms, as I do when in close proximity to many perfumed people and products.

I'm just warning Julie that I find Ozium has a very strong odor, too, so if she has respiratory problems, Ozium is not necessarily a good thing.

I like Gary's idea of an ozone generator. I am going to have my TA call tomorrow and see if the cruiseline has some type of 'odor eater' than can be placed in our room if need be.
Thanks for the advice Heather.
