View Full Version : This Is MY Last Where's The Fleet For A While For Saturday December 5th

Hi CCer's for almost 4 years now I have been bringing you Where's HAL's Fleet everyday. I started it because I wanted to know where the ships were everyday, so my dear friend James Deering who at the time was the Hotel Manager on the Oosterdam supplied me with the excel spread sheet of HAL's fleet for the year. I figured if I enjoyed knowing this information that all my CC friends would also be interested. I have enjoyed doing this but it does take a lot of time and dedication. With the change in careers earlier this year my work schedule has also changed and I work much later at night making it increasingly harder to get this information posted on CC. I unfortunately have found I have less and less time so I am passing the torch so to speak. HAL CC members Trvlcrzy and her husband luvtwotrvl have volenteered to take over the posting of Where's The Fleet. I want to thank them for doing this so we can all still enjoy seeing where those DAM ships are daily.

Thanks to all of you for following this for the past years:)

What a great service you started and have faithfully posted ever since. Whether it's the Wave, the daily fleet report or vast contributions in answering our questions you always did it with class.

I joined CC in June 2007 and have learned a lot from your post. I remember our Wave on the MS Oosterdam and you were as excited as those of us in the banner wave!

Again, thanks to you and Tom for all of your contributions and for being one of the best cruise cheerleaders around.

Plus a hearty thanks for Travlcrzy for stepping up to the gang plank and keeping the fleet report going.

You have been so faithful with this, for so long, Lisa. It's been a morning routine to check this thread of yours, and you will definitely be missed. A very big THANK YOU for all you've done!

A big THANK YOU, too, to Trvlcrzy and luvtwotrvl for picking up where you're leaving off. It's a big job, and I'm so glad to know the tradition will continue through them.

Thank you so much, Lisa, for embarking on this project way back when.
I've enjoyed checking out where the ships are, of course, but also had fun
reading the titles of the "Where the fleet today??? threads. Very creative!

I'm so pleased to learn that the threads will continue under new management.:)

Thank you for doing such a fine job for these past four years. You were always most faithful and I am sure many appreciated this daily post. I know I did appreciate it. As you know that for a long time HAL put this in the daily program of each ship and I kind of wish t hey would start it again. Thanks for all your hard work and all the best to you.

Wow, has it been four years, where has the time gone. Thanks Lisa, as much as it was a labor of love for you to do it, it has been so much fun for all of us to follow the fleet around the globe. Thanks for your hard work putting "where the fleet is, together", I know I am not the only one who has enjoyed your efforts. Thanks again

Some days take longer than others to catch up to the daily thread (somehow it keeps getting bumped to the top), but catch up to it I do! :D And here I am today. Finally.

Thank you Lisa for your dedication all these years. You sure have been reliable. (and I have loved some of the graphics you've added.) ;)

We had our "Christmas Stroll Weekend" here on Nantucket this weekend so I wasn't on the board at all...and have just returned to normal...couldn't figure out why the posting wasn't posted by you today! Certainly I understand....but will be sorry not to see your name every day on "Where's the HAL Fleet!"

Thank you so much, Lisa, for all your hard work...you will be missed.

Thanks, Lisa! I don't often post on the HAL boards but I do always check your "Where's the Fleet" posts. :) Hopefully, we'll cross paths on a cruise some day.

FYI, I was fortunate enough to meet James Deering on the Sapphire Princess last April and learned that he has recently left Princess. Not sure what his future plans are but I know many are familiar with him through both HAL and Princess.
