....are up for booking on HALs website.
I guess they really do show up before the last 60 days prior to cruise.

On some of the Alaskan and European - maybe even South America - you will find some of the excursions listed very early and some of the excursions will be filled up early as well.

Who gets bumped if a shore excurion sells out early and a deluxe verandah suite passenger wants to book it in the neptune lounge?

General, shore excursions are sold "first come, first served". Cabin category doesn't enter the equation.

I'll bet if their is a cancelation, the deluxe verandah suite passinger will be the first in line for consideration.

General MaxAnd you base this on??? What makes you bet that the Shore Excursion Office won't honor the waiting list based on chronological order?

Has anyone actually been able to book an Alaskan shore excursion for this summer? I tried for one for July, all the information is showing, but once I got to the final click I could not go any farther. I tried yesterday and again just now. It seems to me that I had the same problem on a previous cruise and had to wait until nearly the sixty day mark before the form would complete itself.

Thats probably right......you may not be able to book at this time. But atleast finally we can see what is availiable. I was very interested to see ,because I wanted to know which bearwatching trips will be availiable in September.
