Hi experienced HAL cruisers,
This is our first trip on HAL and I want to make a dinner reservation for the Pinnacle Grill during our 15 day circle Hawaii cruise in April. Can someone please tell me if there are special meals or themes in the dining room during the evening seatings? If so, what nights are best to book the Pinnacle so we do not miss these special events. Is there another web site where I can get this information or a menu list? I read on one of the threads about a "dutch" theme on one day? Thanks for any information.:D

We are on the Volendam and went to the Pinnacle Grill on Christmas Day. Wondered whether that was a good night but it was a sea day so something to look forward too. They had turkey and Christmas pudding in the dining room and thought I may be missing out but no. My husband had a t-bone steak which took up the whole plate. I had filet mignon plus lots of separate plates of vegetables, as well as appertiser, lobster bisque and chocolate volcano pudding. So any time is good and great service. The wine is expensive so we took our own and there is an $18 corkage fee. Think we might go another night ........

We have done the Circle Hawaiian cruise -- there were no special theme nights.

Dutch dinner with the hats and special menu has been gone from HAL for a few years now.

Any of the Hawaii cruise sea days (four outbound + five inbound) are good nights for reservations at the PG. We did ours on day 3 outbound and had a another reservation for day 13 (inbound) but cancelled that second one when we had a chance to dine in the brand new Zaandam Canaletto (highly recommended - give it a try also). Enjoy your cruise on Zaandam! Great itinerary!
