Where are you spending your Holidays this year?

Will you be somewhere warm? (Sunburn = Red Christmas)
Somewhere cold? (Snow = White Christmas)
Cruising? (Ocean = Blue Christmas)
I'm flying to Palm Springs X-mas Eve & return New Year's Eve in time to drop luggage, change clothes and head out for the festivities - So I guess its a RED Christmas for me!...

Brian, I don't think us Las Vegas fit in the Box, we certainly don't have warm temps for red, yet we are really not that cold for white and a little too far away from the Ocean for Blue. How about Desert Brown:D
Although I am heading to Phoenix for 3 days tomorrow and will return Monday night and it is a bit warmer there:)

In addition to the desert brown Lisa mentioned, we'll have a differently-defined red Christmas. The outstanding Red Rock Mountains to the west of the valley will provide us with a spectacular display of reds, oranges and violets with the rising sun on Christmas day. Ahhhhh. I never tire of the beautiful Spring Mountain range.

Since I'm staying here in the BA, I'll probably just be wet! Actually, since both DW and I are taking the week off between Christmas & New Year's, we've decided to do a series of "shore excursions" (visit the Mayan exhibit at the Legion of Honor, shop in Half Moon Bay, lunch in Suasilito, dinner in Monterey, wine shopping in Healdsburg, etc.). It's not quite the same as being on a cruise - but my stateroom (and especially my bathroom!) is a lot bigger!

It's definitely cold here in upstate New York, but so far we have no significant snow on the ground. They say it may be coming next week, so we may have a white Christmas. Wish I was having a red or blue Christmas!!

Well, for Christmas, we will be up in Reno-I guess that would be "white" as it should be a bit colder than it is here in Vegas.

Then, for New Years, it will be a pale red, as we will be in Pasadena for the Rose Parade (with a side trip to Santa Anita after the parade-shades of Seabiscuit)! :)

Are there any other colors to choose from?

I'll be at home in Rhode Island, but it's quite warm here---it's in the 40's today. Certainly not red, but definitely not white. The ocean is nearby; you'd be blue if you tried swimming in it!

Well I'll be in a red climate with blue temperatures, but definitely no white snow!!!:o

Hopefully it will be a White Christmas in Mississauga, Ontario. Not going anywhere as I am saving my money for my Ryndam Cruise on Valentine's Day. Have a great and safe holiday everyone.

Well, I am headed up to the Collegiate Peaks about 9,500 feet. The cabin has had a ton of snow this fall so I will definately be having a white Christmas, but when I get on the ski slope without my sunscreen it will end up being a red Christmas. :o

For a moment I thought this was a political thread!

I'm having a red Christmas by the blue waters of the Atlantic ... but with the cold temps forecast for South Florida, some of us are saying that a little white might make it interesting!

Definately white in Minni-snow-ta, but then blue on the 28th on Zaandam!!!

Can't wait!

Brian, just for fun take a look at the "Opinions on HAL" thread ... post #13. It will give you a whole new view on politics as we know it:D

Here in the "frozen tundra" we will definitely have a white Christmas - even with the above freezing temps we've had the past couple of days, it certainly isn't enough to melt the snow we've been given. It will be a white Christmas and a very happy one because our son came home from Japan two days ago and will be spending the holidays with us - he returns in early January. It's sooooo good to have our family together again!

Oh, we'll have a Blue February - we'll be on a Panama Canal cruise then.:)

Smooth Sailing and Merry Christmas to all!!!!! :) :) :)

Where are you spending your Holidays this year?

Sadly, all I'm doing over the holidays is working (both Christmas and New Year's) ... so it'll be "white" as in cold for me.

But on January 8th I leave on the Sun Princess for 10 glorious days in the Carribean, so it'll be blue then!

Blue skies ...

Christmas and New Year's will be white.

But come Jan 6 we will be red while waiting to go on the BLUE ocean.

There's a big Arctic storm headed our way, so unless there's a big thaw before Christmas, we will be very white. Oh, how we look forward to our blue January on the Amsterdam, in South America! Happy Holidays, everyone!

While I live in Dallas, Texas, where Snow is rare and Ice, while more common, doesn't normally appear until AFTER Christmas -- the forecast is for highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s for the end of next week. But ... what do the weather people know??? They can't forecast their way past tomorrow ... for anything beyond 24 hours they might as well be using a crystal ball.

Will be hoping for a white Christmas, but will be (pale) blue that I am not still aboard Maasdam.

Merry Christmas to all.

I live in Beautiful Joliet Illinois and if Christmas is any color here it is white..

I always said Bing Crosby could "Dream of a White Christmas" because he never had to shovel a White Christmas.

Well, if the weather continues like it is today, our Christmas will be White and Blue and Black!

Yes, we already have the snow - that accounts for the white.

But the BLUE isn't what you think - we are BLUE from the cold. This morning it is minus 22 F with a wind chill of minus 42F heading to an all time record windchill record of minus 50 F. So we will be blue with the coldness.

The black is due to the lack of sunlight. We are now at the shortest daylight of the year and will receive 8 hours and 41 minutes of sunlight today. So it is black with darkness.

And to think that less than a week ago we were snorkelling in the Caribbean ocean. That seems soooooo long ago now.

Hope everyone has a safe, healthy, warm, and happy holiday season.

It will definitely be a white Christmas here - if you can see the snow, since we have no sunlight at all, and with the Winter Solstice tomorrow morning (at 7:41 a.m. EST), it's the darkest day of the year. No sun here until late February, and the temperature will keep the snow around well in to June. High yesterday was -25ºF with a wind chill of -45ºF - can't wai until it gets cold in February... ;)

We will leave New Hampshire (12 degrees out and my car locks are all frozen  ) for the snow belt of western Pennsylvania for a WHITE Christmas. Then on 1/03/05 we're flying to Fort Lauderdale where we'll be catching the Westerdam on the 4th. Sailing on the BLUE ocean we will really try to keep applying that sunscreen to avoid getting too RED! :D Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather in the Bahamas, not just for our cruise but also for those folks doing the same itinerary this week - we look forward to hearing how it was.

Hope everyone has their Christmas shopping done. :) - Jane

I'll be off the boards 'til after New Year's recharging the batteries and spending time w/ friends and family in Palm Springs. From the weather forecasts, it looks like we may be in for a cooler and wetter than expected Christmas week...
:(

My Christmas wish is that everyone here on the CC boards enjoys safe and joyous Holidays w/ their friends, family and loved ones.

Stay warm, all!!!

It is very cold here... as is most of the midwest part of the country.

We are now at -8 and counting... tomorrow is only supposed to make it to 10 - with more snow on the way - Good Luck Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, etc. - best of luck to upstate New York, and those also in the path...

We will try and slow it down - but don't count on it!

Looks like we will have a White Xmas in Reno which is not all that common. My nose may be a little red after New Years Eve; but our dreams will all be in blue, dreaming about our Oct. 29th sailing on the Oosterdam! :)

Jane- You need the car lock "de-icer" as a stocking stuffer - it works wonders! It fits on your key chain and you never have to worry again...

Well we're still trying to get away from the White here in Ohio to the Red we were planning on in Calif. Hopefully we'll be able to make our new flight this afternoon. Would rather we were in the blue but since we're only a month away from our Westerdam cruise we'll manage (assuming we don't get more white that week!).
Everyone have a great holiday whatever the color.
