The same to you. It's been an interesting year. We've welcomed lots of new friends to the boards. And said a sad goodbye to some old friends who are no longer with us. It's the end of the first decade of the 21st century. I can't wait to see what's ahead.

2009 was really a good year for me. I had a big birthday, celebrated 50 years of marriage, both DH and I retired and I have two new hips. Thew only thing missing was a cruise, and looking forward to 2010 for that.

I too want to wish all my CC friends a very Happy Wonderful New Year. Wish you all plenty of Calm Sea Days for 2010.

Many have said that they look forward to seeing 2009 be gone. I have to say that over all 2009 was good to Tom and I in many ways. I started the the year unemployed but having just done our first B2B on the Eurodam, then was able to follow that with a Mexican Riviera cruise, a two week Panama Canal Cruise then another week in Alaska. Had I been employed in the quickly declining position I had I would have never been able to experience those wonderful cruises. The second half of the year started a new chapter in my life with new doors that opened just like everyone said it would :) I think I have found what I wanted to be when I grew up :D Tom and I both have our health and see that financially things will be greatly improved in 2010 with lots of Cruising ahead for us. So for now Life is Good.

It would be nice if 2010 could bring a cruise, but that will not be possible. Today I've been drooling over some of the photos I took on the dream cruise of a lifetime on the Maasdam in July and August (Voyage of the Vikings). Nothing could ever top that, but at least I have happy memories to last forever.

To those who recommend me eating chocolate, I must say I am a Diabetic (too much chocolate in my youth) and so I must refrain. In truth my resolution is to walk the treadmill a half and hour every day. It will get both my cardiologist and my endrocronologist off my case and make me a healthy dude.
