Who can help me with Private tour guides in Lisbon? We would also like to do Sintra and Cascais (sp)?

We can't help you with a private guide, since we used the Eyewitness Guide to Lisbon and did it on our own. The maps, advice, and "3D" pictures are fabulous, and both taxis (relatively inexpensive) and public transit are easy to use. If you don't get good recommendations for a priviate guide, use the insight book as your guide, and take one of the mass tours for an orientation. In any event, some of your visit should be self guided, rather than with a guide. People are friendly in Lisboa (which is pronounced "Leeshboa" in Portuguese).:D
There are some terrific English language web sites for Lisbon. Unfortunately we cleaned out our bookmarks when we returned from our trip, but you should be able to find a few sites via Google or your favorite search engine. The web sites may have guide recommendations. I'd also suggest joining www.virtualtourist.com (http://www.virtualtourist.com), and then posting the question on the Lisbon forum.
