We're sailing on the Eurodam in July on a Baltic cruise. Our TA put us on the 6th deck way forward. Window looks out over the bow. Is there more sensation of crashing thru the waves way up front? I'm looking forward to everything........cruise, sights & another great experience on H-A. How is the cabin configured?

The simple answer is yes if you have moderate to heavy seas. If the seas are calm this would be fine. Being way forward will almost always result in more movement than midship. You will also have a bow blocking your view while on the side of the ship there is very little to block your view.

Definetly you will get a pulsating feeling when the ship hits the waves if your cabin is there. The faster they travel( which usually isn't very fast) the more noticeable it is.

Yes -- you will feel the waves up there.

The good part is the easy access to that forward deck - the bad part is that you're likely to hear a goodly number of door slams.

We were in a bow cabin on our first cruise on another cruiseline. You will definetely feel the motion of crashing through the waves in even moderate seas. Why? Because you are.

More often than not we've sailed in cabins all the way forward on deck 6, as that is where the handicapped accessible VAs are located. We have sailed on Eurodam and on Vista ships.

I really don't think it's all that bad! The only time I really noticed it was on the Westerdam once, when we were outrunning a tropical storm. We had HUGE waves at night, and the ship rode up on them, then slammed down!!!

But with moderate waves, we really don't find it that bad.

Now the wind across the balcony ... that's another story! :p

As far as that small forward deck - we rarely saw anyone on it. It's too out of the way for the general public to bother with. And the doors to it are closed when the ship is sailing, too.
