Hi, we are RCL cruisers, but we gonna book a cruise with HAL because she is departing from the netherlands and its easy to drive for us.

We are going on the Westerdam for a 7 night Fjord cruise.

Stavanger, Alesund, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Vik, Flam

QUESTIONS:

* Verandah cabin, witch floor do we choose?? Witch cabins have blocked vieuws, or are not so best, bigger balconys at some rooms???

* I see there is a deference between the size of rooms??

* I'm looking for room pictures from the Westerdam

* What do we need to know about differences between RCL and HAL?

* What is included?

* ....??

Thanks a lot

aft cabins on deck 7 like 7143,5,7 as they have bigger balconies and we enjoy watching the ship depart a port while having drinks on the balcony. We've book 7145 3 times.

Look at the "Sticky" thread at the top of the board for Photos of HAL Staterooms/Cabins.
There are very informative links there.

I was told that VD cabins 4164 and 4166 had bigger balconies than others.

Anyone can tell me if this is true?

I just got off the Westerdam last week. I was in cabin 8052, an SS category, and really enjoyed it. I have some pictures of the cabin that I just uploaded at:

What do we need to know about differences between RCL and HAL

One thing that comes to mind is on HAL, you are allowed to bring unlimited wine on board with you. If you drink your wine in the dining room there is an $18 corkage fee. There is no charge to consume your wine in your cabin.
