I noticed that an Explorations Cafe coffee card is available for $29.90.
If anyone has purchased this, I would be interested in hearing your feedback.

We regularly purchase wine cards and had a cocktail card last cruise. DW and I enjoy double expressos at the cafe in the morning and I wonder if we should try the card. We also will have access to the Neptune Lounge on our upcoming cruise and have heard that they offer good coffee.

Espresso and cappuchino in Neptune Lounge are wonderful. (Almost) everyone loves that coffee machine. We have never bought a coffee card as we enjoy our coffee from Neptune for breakfast and during the day and then have our coffee after dinner in the dining room. That is enough for us.

If I could ever get them to learn how to make an iced coffee, I'd be thrilled and probably would get a coffee card. No matter how hard I try, they can't manage to make a plain, simple, black iced coffee. They don't understand the concept I think. Don't know why........ they certainly see people drinking plenty of iced tea.

If you are a 3 or 4-star Mariner you'll receive a discount on beverages offered at the Explorations Cafe of 25% or 50% (depending upon your level). It may not make sense to use a coffee card.

We also book cabins that have access to the Neptune Lounge -- DH never buys the coffee card.

The coffee machine in the Neptune Lounge is wonderful.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like the Neptune Lounge will be wonderful for us. Have been on several HAL cruises, but this is our first on the Rotterdam and first time in a deluxe suite.

;) You'll love it. What's not to like? :D

Actually, way back when........ We sailed Rotterdam her Inaugural New Years Eve when she was only months old and that was the first Neptune Lounge we enjoyed. Before the upgrades when the rest of the ships had Neptune Lounges built, we used to miss the lounge on ships that didn't have one. It wasn't always a factor choosing one ship over another but it was on the list of considerations. We were thrilled when all ships got one.

You will love the Neptune Lounge.

It is so great if you just want a simple continental breakfast, quick snack any time during the day -- a coffee - a cookie -- candies -- desserts.
