Hi there. My soon to be husband and I have booked a cruise for our honeymoon. It is our first cruise and we are very excited! When we booked we were asked on which day we wanted to celebrate our honeymoon. Now I am very curious as to what to expect. Has anyone celebrated their honeymoon, birthday, or other special occasion on-board? We will be sailing on the Zuiderdam to Alaska in June.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!! I've never seen the newly wed done on HAL, so I can't comment on it, but they usually do a cake and song for most occasions.

We sailed on our honeymoon in Sept. '08 and LOVED it. We did the west coast repo and Mexican Riviera.
We celebrated our honeymoon on our first formal night (I believe it was out of Victoria). They brought us our own little cake after dinner that said "congratulations." It was pretty basic, but a very thoughtful gesture. And of course, we had a table for 2 on formal night, so it was fancy and romantic and just "us."
Don't forget to volunteer for the Marriage game--it's a blast for newlyweds. We won!
Have fun, and enjoy our beautiful state. :)
