The Queen has chartered the Hebridean Princess for the weeks beginning July 22 and July 29.
Passengers with bookings on those dates will not be able to go on their cruises during that fortnight.
Has anyone been affected by this?

No but I would have been and thank god I did not rebook.
I had booked and paid for this period before they went bankrupt... I had to live through months of not knowing whether I would get my money back (in the end, visa came through; the old company, new company and "insurance" company in the UK came up with NOTHING). In the midst of all that they had the gall to ask me to book and pay AGAIN for the cruise I had already booked, on which they defaulted. I just received a letter a month or so ago in which they "regretted" they had to release my cabin because they had not heard from me. If I HAD paid again to the new company and then had my cruise cancelled I think I would have personally travelled to Scotland to express my opinion in person to the head of this company!! I am cruising with Crystal instead. As appealing as this ship sounds, it is just not worth the hassle of dealing with a small company that obviously does not value their passengers (except, I suppose, QEII)
