Confused.

I love reading these threads, get so much info. But now I have too much info. and don't know what to do.
We want to do the all inclusive beach break, as seen advertised by several vendors; Island Marketing is one. They say they have "reserved chairs".
I guess my question is: does one get a bracelet of some sort to designate I have purchased this package since I have read that one can just show up and as long as you buy a drink, you are also entitled to a free palapa/beach chair.
So can I just get a taxi to this beach, buy some drinks, have a chair, buy food if I want-all for many dollars less than buying the excursion (of course depending on how many I drink)????

We reserved chairs at Tropecante. All that they ask is you buy $20 in food/drink for the day. Beers are $2 each. Bus ride is $3. We figure we can buy a lot of beer for what they want for the all inclusive price! From what I have been reading a lot of the places are like this.
