Does anyone know what hotels Holland America is offering for overnights in Rome and/or London next summer?
Barring that info, what were they offering last summer?
We're in the process of booking RVI's European Capitals in June and would like to do some hotel research before dealing with HAL on Monday.
Thanks in advance.

We go to London frequently and like the Forum in S. Kensington. We take the tube from Heathrow directly to Gloucester Rd Station and it's just a couple minutes walk.
With cruise luggage that might not be feasible.
The Forum was part of the Intercontinental group and now is branded the Holiday Inn Forum, still owned by the same parent company.
It's a convenient location for us. Gloucester Road Station has Piccadilly, Circle and District lines that can link you to just about anywere in London.
There are several eating places and food stores nearby, along with other shops.

Ted, thanks for the recommendation. I'll put that in my pocket.
For now, I'm considering booking the hotels thru Holland America so I'm trying to find out what hotels that HA is booking for their cruise guests. Hopefully, before Monday when I will likely have to make a decision.

Stevesan: While I cannot tell you which hotels HAL is using in London this coming year, HAL did book us in the Intercontinental at Marble Arch when we did a pre-cruise tour in 2001. It was an extremely nice hotel and about two blocks from the Metro and major bus routes. Hope this helps you!

I don't need to research HAL's selection of London hotels because they only offered a hotel at the airport.
Why? Because I elected the air deviation option. I guess HAL doesn't want to waste a land transfer into London for a passenger who opted not to let HAL make the flight selections.
Since we're spending a few extra nights in London, a Gatwick hotel would be a slightly inconvenient. However, our TA says she can package a hotel in central London along with a transfer for less than HAL would. So all's well that ends well.
Let this be a lesson to all those who want a little autonomy in their travel plans.

Steve-
www.tripadvisor.com is a great place to read reviews and see ratings about hotels... we selected our hotel in Rome based upon the ranking (#1) and reviews it received on tripadvisor.
It is a great resource for domestic and international travel, and the reviews make for some interesting reading! Good luck! :)
