Well, it's kind of hard to improve on Bev's review, but here goes.....

Like she said, embarkation couldn't have been easier. We were at the dock by 10:30 and boarding at 11:30...straight to the Lido Deck and some lunch. Of course, our kids were the first in the pool!

Cabins were great, even if we did have 4 people in ours. I followed the advice of other cruisers and took the shoe thing to hang over the door. Great idea that just kept things so neat - a must with 4! It was a plus to have a DVD player so taht when the kids got a little run down in the afternoon, they had some quiet diversion.

We really liked everything about our cruise - everything went perfectly. The meals were great, with endless choices (and all you wanted), the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and the ports were interesting.

We had a little toilet trouble, but all I had to do was tell Marsudi, our room steward, and all was taken care of in record time. As a matter of fact, if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask Marsudi and it was done. This especially was shown to be true when 4 out of 5 kids were sick :( at one time and there was alot of clean-up going on! Luckily, it was a short lived bug and we were off having fun again. :)

Any questions, just ask.......till next time,

Hello. Noticed you are from Whidbey Island. My husband and I went there a couple of years ago and LOVED it. Beautiful place.

We're considering sailing on the Ryndam next May to Alaska and are wondering about the night life on the ship. Does the piano bar have sing alongs? Is there a disco? We're in our late 30s and have no kids and still like to enjoy the nightlife somewhat. Any information you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, there was a variety of entertainment. Piano bar, classical strings in the Explorers/Pinnacle lounge (never could figure out what to call it:) ), live music/dancing in the Crow's Nest in the early evening and then disco type later at night, and live music in the Ocean Bar.
