Where do you look to see if your OBC has been added to your reservation? This is one from a TA. Thanks.

You can not see it anywhere on HAL's site.

Our TA always gives us a copy of the fax that she gets showing final payment and any shipboard credit that we get. This is only place it will show up until you are on the ship.

I always make a copy of that fax that she gives us and take it along with us.

After a couple of days I ask for a copy of our onboard account so that I can check to make certain that we have gotten that shipboard credit.

To my knowledge there is no place to check it on the reservation. Be sure that you have the OBC listed on your invoice from your TA. Take a copy with you on your cruise and check in at the Front Office (early in the cruise) to be sure they have it posted to your account. This is fairly routine and will probably be posted but every once in a while....

What about the OBC you get for owning stock. I just faxed all our information in. On Carnival you can see it online. I can't remember with HAL how you find out if they recieved it.

We get 3 types of shipboard credit -- one type from when we have booked while cruising; second type from AMEX Plat and third type from own Carnival stock.

It is all shown as a lump sum on the final paper that is faxed to our TA that she sends to us when we have made final payment.

Don't know when you're sailing, but the current shareholder benefit applies only to sailings thru end-July ... there has yet to be an announcement of an extension. Others have mentioned the renewal of that benefit normally is announced in the Spring after the annual shareholder meeting.

How much Carnival stock do you have to own to get OBC?....and how much OBC? Thanks.

You must own 100 shares. The OBC is based on the length of the cruise ... $50 for less than 6 days, $100 for 7-13 days, $250 for 14 days and longer. The OBC is per cabin, not per person, and only one OBC per owner-occupied cabin ... so, owning 200 shares does not increase the benefit.
