It seems that the Rotterdam has changed from a 10 day Panama Canal itinerary to a 7 day Eastern Caribbean. Anybody know why? It looks like a great itinerary -- St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan, Half Moon Key.

I am unable to find it on their web site, how did you find it?

I also checked and couldn't find the Rotterdam listed under either Caribbean or Panama Canal.

I know she is scheduled to go into dry dock from March 26 - April 11, 2005.

Maybe she is going in sooner?

I found it by accident on halpromos.com. If you go to Caribbean, it's at the bottom of the list under sales agents promo materials.

This cruise is still not showing up on HAL's web site. Also, the travel agents don't show it. I don't know how they expect to sell this cruise. When I asked why it was changed from the 10 day Panama Canal, one HAL rep told me that maybe it was going into dry dock earlier. Another one said it was chartered after that week and maybe they had to rework the schedule to accomodate the charter. Who knows. But, when I asked why they didn't put this new itinerary on the web site, one rep said that maybe they don't want to get people confused. Does any of this make any sense? How can I get prices from the travel agent web sites if the cruise is not listed?

I just talked with another HAL rep who said that the reason for the change had to do with the drydock schedule. I guess they have a lot of repairs due to the damage from the waves in September in the North Atlantic.
