Two suggestions for you:
First, try looking over on the Roll-Call forum to find fellow passengers on your cruise. The info on a meet & greet will be there.
Second, when you start a thread, make your subject line a quick hint of what the topic of the thread is. I don't have a clue what "CarlSSBN" is supposed to mean.

Funny thing is: he posted twice on the roll call before he posted here!

Well, "SSBN" means Submersible Ship Ballistic Nuclear, or a nuclear powered ballistic missle submarine. The "CARL" I don't know.

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

As mentioned you have visited your Roll Call -- that is where -- mif people want to -- arrange for someone to set up a Meet & Greet. Not all Roll Calls do this. Some are just a chat area.

Well, thanks for that info anyway. I still don't know what it has to do with his question, but now I have another acronym to add to my collection. :D

If you ever find out how to use it intelligently in a sentence, please let me know. I bet I could really impress the Captain at our next Meet and Greet with that one :D

Carl...Welcome to Cruise Critic.

The Title of your thread should be the subject you would like to discuss, not your name, the same as the Subject line in an email.

This is the link to the Roll Call for your cruise on March 20, 2010.

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=23185013#post23185013 (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=23185013#post23185013)

On February 15, you posted to your Roll Call twice, see Posts 52 & 53. In Post 53, you asked if a "Meet & Greet" was scheduled. In Post 54, BlueCat1105 replied "I don't believe so. This roll call has been quite quiet until recently, and I don't believe we've seen enough people for anyone to have thought about a formal Meet & Greet."

In other words, there are not enough Cruise Critic members posting to your Roll Call to warrant a "Meet & Greet" at this time.

Check or post to your Roll Call frequently to see if a Cruise Critic "Meet & Greet" is scheduled for your cruise. ;)

"My Captain, is that a SSBN in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?";)

See, 'cause a sub has a certain shape...

and, ahhhhhh never mind...

Carl. Welcome to cruise critic. Not all HAL sailings have active roll calls and many do not have a CC Meet and Greet.

Some say that HAL has about the least active roll calls of any cruise line participating on this forum.

I've cruise HAL for years, but have never been to a Meet and Greet.
