Just back from Bahamas celebration 2/15.. had a great time .. this is a real review

Ok me hubby and his cousin and his wife went on the bahamas celebration Feb 12- 15 2010 .. and again i want to say we had a great time ..

**just a note*** .. me and hubby own 2 golden crown timeshare and are use to staying in 5 star hotels .. im very picky about everything and if i feel i might be uncomfortable i would rather not go .. but for this trip i said i would suck it up and expected the worst .. to the point i brought my own bedding just so i can be confortable (u will see it in pics)

Embarkation .. was a breeze

Oh and we got this trip through the special (125 per person for 4 days 3 nights) but didnt do the timeshare part just the cruise.. so we had to pick up our voucher at the ramada and we walked in at 10:15 and was out at 10:20 ..lol .. we walk in with the attitude on our faces "like we just drove 10 hrs from north georgia to fort laurdale you better not try and sell us anything" .. and i swear they must of saw it cause they didnt sell us a thing ..lol

from there we drive 15 mins to the pier and parked for $15 a day ( $45 days for 3 nights) then work right into that pier.. went through security .. they took our 2 bottle of wine that was in a bag with 4 water bottle of vodka that they didnt take .. they told us no wine on the boat but they will give it back when we get back ..
from there u can either check your bags or carry it on yourself we choose to carry ours ... we filled out the paper work and went to get our assigned cabins .. of course we got the smallest inside cabin possible on the 3rd floor... but hubby decided to up grade for $250 to a suite on the 8th floor .. so the whole trip was 500 for both of us still a good deal to me for a 4 day cruise...

after that we headed upstairs to get dinner times and fill out medical paper... then a quick embarkation pic then staright to our rooms which was really really nice ..

ok so now in room .. we upgrade to a suite and it was so worth it .. we had 4 big windows and queen bed, couch, flat screen etc. bathroom was a decent size a well... we brought our own bedding and that made a different as well i didnt really like the top bedding but the sheet we very clean and cozy .. u have to get a converter plug asap if u wanted to plug in anything... make sure u call as soon as u get on the ship and they will give it to u with no problem.... after about 30 min the room bernard our cabin stewardess came by to introduce himself and he was awesome!!! .. after unpacking we went up on the deck to eat a quick lunch .. the fish was excellent very very good .. they had friend chicken that i didnt like but my hubby did .. and i had a salad and fruit and that was fresh and good ... it was very windy and a bit chilly but it was better then being in GA with snow ..lol .. while on deck they were very pushy with drinks but it didnt bother us much after lunch we went back to our room to sleep after our drive we were tired...

after our nap we went to pick our excursion .. we orginally was going to do the atlantis adventure but we looked up the weather and it said it was going to be windy and only 70 .. so we didnt want to do anything with water .. so we eneded up picking the discover atlantis package that was 47 dollars .. I didnt like that they were still pushing water excursion know that it was going to be cold hubby got pissed about that ... after that we was determine to see what the cabins look like on the 3rd floor so we went walking around to see if we can get a peek and yes it very small but not as bad as i thought it was going to be... with our bedding i would have been fine in the room but im still very happy we upgraded.

after walking around getting ice cream from dj cream shop .. we decide to do the causal dinning room for dinner called RIO ... food was good .. not great but good .. our waiter was really nice and made sure we was full .. hubby had two entree with no issues at all .. my hubby cousin wife was sea sick so she didnt eat much after that we head back to the room for cuddling and a movie


** the ride to the bahamas was terrible but that wasnt the boat fault**
the weather was bad rainny and very very windy so the ocean was rough the boat was all over the place... half the boat was sea sick .. u couldnt walk straight for anything and lots of people was scared from the rocking and noise .. the crew assured us that we were very safe and that it was just the weather.

day 2 bahamas

we woke up at about 10am .. and they were just docking, they arrive late cause of the weather so a few of the excursion were a little delay .. we got up, ran upstair to the deck for breakfast before it close .. we brought it back to our room so we can get dress and eat. The food was ok we had pancake with eggs and fruit.

I wore a sun dress and a cardigan but i knew it was going to be chilly so i packed a sweater just in case

After getting ready we head to the view to meet up with our excursion guide .. then we was guide off the boat to get out wrist band.... it was very very chilly and windy .. so the sweater came in handy..after get wrist band we got on a tour bus to atlantis .. they showed us around and the drop us off at atlantis which was beautiful .. our guide was very funny and informative .. me and hubby loved atlantis and decided we are going to plan a trip there with the kids very soon

after the tour and walking around for 2 hours .. we head back to the city to eat some of the naive food which was excellent conch flitter was so good .... after eatting we brought a few gift then head back on the boat to sleep because we wanted to hang out all night .. we work up at 7:30 and got ready for dinner .. we ate in the rio again even though we was a little more dressed up this time... food was ok again the shrimp was really good and the dessert was ok .. after dinner we went to the newly wed show .. which me and hubby cousin was pick for it was so funny and we had a great time .. me and hubby tied with another couple but we actually won .. everyone one ship told us that after the game .. lol .. after that the had a singer which was really good and a comedian that was so so funny he had us cracking up ..then the club started and we danced until about 2 in the morning .. we had a great time!!!

oh forgot to mention cause the ocean was still very rough they decided to stay docked in the bahamas so everyone wouldnt get sick again .. the comedian made a big joke about everyone looking green the night before ,,lol

day 3 valentines day
We woke up at about 9:30 still dock in the bahamas .. me and hubby went on deck to eat again got the normal .. food was ok .. oh i forgot to mention unsweeten ice tea is the only thing free .. u get orange juice in the morning .. oh and coffee and hot tea is free too ... we brought a soda card for 26 dollars .. me and hubby shared it and it was very useful for us.

after breakfast we went back to the room to relax we decided this was going to be a relxing cruise for use so yes we spent alot of time in our room .. at about 1 we got lunch in the italian resturant I had a shrimp pasta with garlic bread, that was very good!! i ate it in the view where they had a couple show going on and it was the most funniest show ever.. i was crack up the whole time .. they also had the men dress up in women clothes omg it was so funny ... then they has a talent show ..BORING!!! .. then bingo that i played and lost but it was still a good time.... After we that we hung out in the room again .. then about 7:30 we got all dress up and took valentine pic, then went to crystal for dinner which was very nice .. i was a really good experince and the food was good that night. After that we went to a cirque soleil type act which to me was good .. then a comedian Something zinnerman ,, he was ok but not all that ...the other comic was better to me ... after that they had a mardi gras party .. that i heard was good through his cousin but me and hubby went back to our room and hung out.

Day 4 back to FL
disembarkation
a breeze once again ..we didnt rush to do anything we arrived in fl about 8am .. we took our slow time get our stuff together .. we left our room at 9 to get our valentine pics .. then about 9:30 we got off the boat, went through customs and on our way home

I had a great time .. no the boat is not as big or as pretty as some of the other boats and it doesnt have much extras at all .. the food is not great like some, but everything is passable.... not bad at all .. it was a really really nice vacation for us .. it was worth every dime we spent .. i hope everyone else have a great time ..

..best one so far in the early life of Celebration. I have to say they did pretty well refurbing the ship and for the money, it DOES look like a fun get away.

yes, take a taxi to the port of palm beach from the airport, its maybe 10 minutes.

I-95 north to Blue Heron Blvd. All the way to broadway and turn a right and you are at the port. Very easy to get to the ship.

3.do you need to make reservation for evening 's show?
4.what else Can you do on Bahamas except taking their tours. ?
5.Is any closest beach around ? and closest shopping center?

Thanks for the review and pictures! I have been wondering about this cruiseline--I saw their ship docked in Nassau last year when we were there on Carnival.
