Among others, I have been following the Voyager's World Cruise through the blogs and pictures of Larry and sevenseas sailor. With some astonishment, I must say, I noted that a guest, Dr. Lloyd Tinkle celebrated his 100th birthday on board. I am sure all of us on here would wish to send him our congratulations. What a wonderful achievement. He looks very well, too.
In passing, Rick (sevenseassailor), if you read this, I hope Rebecca gets over her bronchitis soon and that the drugs and nebuliser does the trick.

Wow! and still cruising. That's my dream.
Just out of my warped curiosity, what was his medical speciality?
My first thought was urologist, but that would be too funny. Maybe he's not an M.D., but PhD.

Tee Hee. I wondered about his ability to tinkle, too. (schoolboy, and girl, humour)

Lol, too funny! :D And best wishes to Dr. Tinkle! I met a woman on our cruise in '07 next to me at a slot machine one night and we had a nice chat. I was shocked to find out that she was 91 years old. And even more surprised to hear that her husband was at the roulette table at age 98! He came over under his own power a short time later and sat down next to me for a wonderful 1/2 hour chat. His wife told him that he was interrupting my game time, and I replied that he was saving me money! (and that I was enjoying our conversation). My hubby and I saw them throughout the cruise and even played Trivia with them! Very memorable. We still exchange correspondence and I sent a 100th birthday card to him last year!

I love these stories - DW's grandfather just turned 101 last October, and although he's not as mobile as he used to be, his mind is still amazing - it's incredible to talk to these folks and hear their stories - just fascinating!!

We have a urologist here called Dr Splatt which is almost as good!
As someone who has a birthday this week with just one "0" in it, not two, my congratulations to Dr Tinkle and I hope he has many more healthy years.

He sure looks good for 100. Hope I am still cruising if I ever get to be that old.

Am interested in reading about the Voyagers World cruise. How does one read "Larrys" blog or sevenseas sailor blog?
Thanks
