I never thought I would get this far again, after losing so many posts (1700) after the changeover to the new system.
But anyhow this is a milestone for me and it happened on New Year's Eve. (It is Friday morning here)
Happy New Year everyone and may it be a safe, healthy and happy one.:)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Know what you mean about those posts - lost 2700.
At least we shouldn't lose any when 2005 comes in (remember yk2000?)

Congratulations, Jennie! Keep up the good work! :)
I passed the 1000 post mark (again) recently but didn't even notice.
(wonder if we can re-set our ages like this forum did our post counts? ;) )

Jennie, congratulations on your 2nd 1000th post!!! I don't even know how many I lost, but I'm so full of chatter they add up fast:) .
I was just thinking how nice it would be if we could just do this with our birthdays!!! Just start all over again. Nobody would be complaining about that, I don't think!
And a very Happy New Year to you, Jennie ... you'll get there before we do!!

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. I too would like to lose some of my age but then again which years would need to go. I have had such a great life that I don't think I could choose any years to just disappear.
I loved being in my 20's, we were married and that was a great learning experience, my thirties were fantastic with our children growing up, the 40's were the time when I played tennis regularly, had more leisure time and the children were nearly adults, in my 50's I was back into the workforce and met new friends and learnt new skills and now that I am in my 60's my DH and I are having a wonderful time together.
I expect that when we are in our 70's we will still be saying it is a great life.
Robanne,
Have a great New Year. We will be watching the fireworks on TV, both Melbourne's and Sydney's. I hope the weather is kind for you. We have had a great day of 32C with no wind, perfect summer weather.

Jennie, sounds like a wonderful life. I loved my 40's the absolute the best, and 50's 2nd best. Sorrowfully I would like to let my 20's and some of my 30's fall far behind me, which they have:) .
I watched the Sydney fireworks on TV at 8:00 my time this a.m. It made me think of you:D . Happy New Year!

Congratulations, Jennie, not only for your 1000th post, but for your enjoyment of every segment of your life. Mine has been similar in many ways, and I agree - no part of it should be left out.
We are meeting online friends who will show us around Sydney when our cruise stops there in February. I'll think of you and send greetings from the Prinsendam then.

Congratulations "Aussie Gal" on the second time around. As to turning back the clock, I only wish I could take 30 or 40 years off my body clock. Sometimes I wish they could do full-body transplants. Oh well, it beats the alternative as they say.

Thanks Heather, Sail, Slinkiecat and Ruffin for your good wishes. We are now in 2005 and it is a beautiful summer's day here.
Heather,
Thanks for thinking of me when you saw Sydney's fireworks. They are always spectacular. We were going to go up there for 5 days to watch this years but decided against it in the end. The hotels charge a premium for the privilege of being there.
Sail,
Have a wonderful cruise. Look forward to hearing from you on your return.
Slinkiecat,
I too am showing two lots of C.C. Board members around Melbourne in February when they dock here on the Sapphire Princess. Enjoy your time in that exciting city with your C.C. friends and also enjoy your wonderful world cruise. I am very envious and would love to be on it. That is the Prinsendam in my photo.
Ruffin,
My body parts are still good, thank goodness and I am still, slim and fit. Though it is harder to stay slim these days as one gets older. Once I could eat anything and never put on a pound in weight. Now I have to watch the calories a lot more.
