We are a interacial couple, me Canadian, him American/Jamican. Do you see us having any "problems" on the islands? We will be in Nassau, Half Moon Cay( not too worried) Tortola, St. Thomas. I am not too worried about the cruise ship itself, just the Islands. It might be me over reacting, but I want to be "prepared" if we will. He says he has no clue what people will think, and frankly doesn't care. I don't care really what people think, BUT if bad things will happen I need to be prepared for that...

We get this alot in Canada, not so much in Seattle. I am curious what you think the response will be in a 3rd world country, and of a country of a different race. I ask this again because my Fiance does get frowned upon from people from people of his own culture.

I hope this comes across correct :( Like I said I dont care what people think, but I have been in dangerous situtations before in my own country because of this.

You will have no problem CanadianMag. I'm speaking from experience. Understand that you will be traveling to locale's where people on the islands are from mixed descent. To them you are tourists - no more. As far as the other cruise passengers.. Sure, you will experience a few stares as you may experience back home but what's different is everyone is on vacation. With that, most are in great spirits having a good time. You will also find other couples like yourselves onboard. Trust me.. it will be a great experience (and honeymoon) for the 2 of you.
