Food and flowers

Does HA allow pax to bring fresh flowers or fruit on board when they are returning from excursions or shopping? I know Costa Rica is famous for it's flowers and would love to fill my cabin at lower cost than at home. Thanks

Don't know about HAL (our first cruise with them is in 3 weeks) but RCCL and Celebrity do allow it ans we have done it many times. Check with the officials at disembarkation at your first port to be sure.

You can bring flowers aboard as well as food (within reason).

Oh yes....and the flowers available in some of those ports are so beautiful. I kept meaning to do that.....and then forgot every time but I saw many others doing it.
Easy to bring stuff ON....just don't try taking ANYthing OFF! If you do those cute little "sniffing beagles" will stop you! They can even sniff out a few leftover crumbs! I saw many innocent people emptying their bags. These very strict agricultural restrictions were mostly in Australia and New Zealand.....but the beagles were VERY cute!

In Seattle and Hawaii we brought extra flowers on board.

Thanks for your input. I even have some colapsable vases that I can pack easily. I just love flowers. Can't wait to pick them out. Yes, I'll be sure to ask first to make sure. Thanks bunches.:)
