For anyone who has sailed recently, I have always enjoyed the ice sculpture demonstrations onboard, usually on the BBQ night. Last March on the Rotterdam, we did not have this wonderful demonstration and I haven't heard anyone talk about it in their recent posts.
Are they still doing the ice sculpture demonstrations??????

We just returned from the Zuiderdam 12/23 sailing. There was an ice sculpture demonstration the night of the outdoor BBQ. It was fun to watch.

We had two displays of ice carving.
During the gallery tour, there was an ice carving being done as you walked thru. I think this was on our second day at sea.
Then, on the last day at sea, there was a display at poolside in the afternoon. There was also a food carving display going at the same time.

Thanks, everyone. We had ice carvings at the entrance to the dining room on the Rotterdam, but had no demonstration. Must have just been an off night or something happened where they weren't able to demonstrate. Looking forward to seeing them this year on both the Zuiderdam and Volendam.

On our Westerdam Christmas cruise there were no ice carving demonstrations that we were aware of, and the only time we even saw an ice carving was after the crew Christmas carols at the buffet, a definite disappointment.
Also , unlike other Dam ships this Christmas, and our Amsterdam cruise, there were no wreaths on the cabin doors.

mcduck,
You must have missed it. I have friends who sailed on your cruise and they had the ice carving demonstration at the BBQ.

Gizmo - We missed the BBQ, so that is when it probably was, but do not recall seeing in in the daily activities. So much to do, so little time, but always enjoy the ice carving. Thanks.
On the Amsterdam there were ice sculptures at the entrance to the dining room every night. Did not see any on the Westerdam, but we were on the lower dining level and they could have been at the upper level. (or maybe just to anxious to eat again!)
