Have posted on Ports Costa Rica with no luck. Does anyone have any information on the Tropical Mangrove River Cruise in Puntarenas? Would you book this with HAL or did you have another tour company? Any other tour suggestions? Thanking you in advance for your time and interest in the above matter. Happy Sailings...Leslie Swiger:)

We took this tour last year on the veendam repo cruise.
Saw lots of crocodiles, and a few birds--stopped and drank some beer with the locals at the gift shop. I thought we got our money's worth.
The guide for this tour had to come over from the other side of the country. I don't recall seeing a lot of options other than the HAL tours, due to the remoteness of Punterenas.

I agree with the above. There is only eco/city tours available for this region. I would stick with Hal here. Not much for beaches here. They have interesting clothing if you look.

We did this tour on one of our Crystal Panama Canal cruises. We found it interesting, lots of beautiful birds and other wildlife.
