My husband noticed that I didn't have my usual countdown on the calender, I always drive everyone crazy from 100 days down. so I was surprised to find I only have 76 days till we go on the westerdam. Let the countdown begin.

Do you do the 100 day countdown too? I thought I was the only one who drove my DH crazy - this is something I started a couple of cruises ago. Beginning at 100 days from sailing I put bright fluorescent coloured Post-Its on the refrigerator with the number of days marked in big black felt marker pen. On the days I've been out the door to work too quickly in the morning, I've phoned my DH and had him do it for me, but he doesn't do it with the same flourish that I do! :D

This time we're travelling with 4 other couples so every 10 days I email them and ask them if they know what day it is? Then I grab DH's hands and jump around singing my "happy song" while doing the "happy dance" (which is quite similar to the ever-popular "document dance"). My patient husband just rolls his eyes and smiles as I do my thing - I think secretly he wishes he could be a little less inhibited the way I am when I do silly things like that.

Enjoy your countdown - it's a great way to build excitement for your upcoming cruise.
