Has anyone ever walked from the cruise terminal to Governor's Beach ?
Is it an easy walk? Less than 1 mile?

We did this last week - a good 17-minute brisk walk one way. Go straight down the road, no stores, walk on the shoulder of the road, very light traffic. "Governor's Beach' isn't well marked along the road so we wondered if we were there yet. Take a road/street on the left and 'Governor's Beach' sign is at the end of it.
Could have taken a bus for $3pp each way but decided to walk off some of the cruise food. You can rent loungers cheap and there are shade trees. Found lots of sea glass in the water and some people were snorkeling but a big stretch of the beach is nice and sandy for non-snorkelers. Water was warm. You see the cruise ship from there and we passed the beach on our approach to dock so had a feel for how far down the road it was.
The beach and facilities at the dock are really busy and we enjoying getting away from the crowd.
