We are booked on the Osterdam sailing out of Seattle for an Alaska cruise. Can someone pls recommend a hotel to stay in Seattle for 1 night prior to the cruise. Preferably near the the pier where the ship will sail from.

Also we are booked in a Category F room on the Osterdam. Does anyone have any experiences they can share regarding Caategory F rooms.

We have sailed on Cunard (QM2) a number of times, however this will be the first time we have sailed on Holland America.

Thanks in advance

The question of hotels in Seattle comes up a lot on the West Coast Departures board, so you should take a look there. But, in short, there really aren't any hotels near the HAL pier ... your best bet is to stay in any of the downtown hotels (there are many) and take a cab or shuttle to the pier (about a 10 minute ride or so from downtown).

HAL now uses the new terminal 91. No hotels are near there.

The Merriott Bayside is a nice hotel -- also within walking distance of Pike's Market.

Kimpton's Hotel Monaco..close to waterfront, shopping & restuarants. About a 10-15 minute ride to pier. Enjoy Seattle and the cruise!

We stayed at the Hyatt and loved it. Right in the middle of downtown and a short ride to the pier
