It is fine on the UK site

I see you're in Oz...might that be the problem? I updated the info in my personalizer for a TA on April 29 just this afternoon with no problems.

Its working in the US, except for the Travel Summary tab, which is malfunctioning still. It gives an error message saying access is not allowed, contact the data Administrator.

Also when I tried to email Cunard, they have a procedure where they email you a link back and you have to click on that in order for your first email to go through. That doesn't work with a click, nor can you paste it into a browser and have it work. I would say their IT department should put in some effort to fix these problems.

Which one are you using? According to the person I spoke to at local Cunard office last week, we Aussies are only due to get one next month and that whatever was entered into the pocruises.com one may not stick to local bookings

I was able to log in today to Cunard.com but I noticed it is completely different. Perhaps that was the problem earlier in the week, they may have been loading the new program.
The first time it was rejected and I know I entered the correct confirmation number. I tried a second time and it worked perfectly.

I logged on okay yesterday but the site has changed. (We are in the US.) Some of my personal information had been erased - glad I checked. It also said we would be getting E tickets soon - so I guess we will not be receiving the wallet with our documents via the mail anymore. We are on a crossing in May. Not sure I like the new site - not so informative maybe it is not finished yet.

Well, I won't be needing the information until next fall, but I decided to take a look at the site.

They have some configuration problems - probably a development / test configuration is still in place, so that it works fine for them - it just is broken when a Customer want to use it.

A more fundamental problem is that the site is implemented using Micro$oft tools and technology - that would not be my choice of toolset to use for a commerce site containing sensitive information.

Were you ever able to log into your personalizer? I wasn't at any time before our recent Queen Victoria cruise as it would not accept the booking number given to me. So maybe not available to us yet.

Boeckli...thanks for that site...I've saved it. I also like your QM2 ticker...how did you do it or where? Thanks.

Here is the link to make the actual ticker http://*************************/

The rest is done by adding text to an image, then upload to a hosting site (like Webshots, Photobucket or similar) and the URL is then added to the signature just like your ticker.

I am having great difficulty putting information into my Voyage Personalizer. Good lord, it is so very frustrating for someone like me who is computer challenged to begin with. It keeps on saying I need Adobe, so I have uploaded or downloaded or whatever you do to the damn thing numerous times, but it continues to say I need more. I already have one Adobe that came on my computer, I believe--why would I need twenty? But I think I have at least that many now.

You know, I would have hoped if Cunard were going to set up E-tickets that they would have hired help that knows a little more than I do about it, and I really, really know I could do a better job than that!

Sorry Gail, but this made me fall off my chair - you sound like me:eek:.

I think Gari is having problems with his voyage personaliser as well; making the not unreasonable assumption that he is more computer-literate than we are, perhaps waiting a few days may help?

PM. Perhaps the version of Adobe that came with the computer is out of date. If you need to open a PDF file, you need an up to date version. There should be a link for you on the error message. If you down load the most recent version, it will eliminate the older ones for you so you will have only the most recent.

You know Mike, I would agree, but I have just bought a brand new computer. I guess they could have seen me coming and loaded old programs (is that what you call Adobe?) on it. Yes, there is a message that says click here and I do and the whole thing seems to start over again. Perhaps if I understood better what the heck I am doing. But, Cunard should realize that we are not all computer geniuses and they should compensate for those of us who aren't.

PM The current Adobe Reader is version 9. If you don't have that, I suggest you search for Adobe Reader in your search engine. When you find it. Select it. It will give you an option to download. Make sure you have the correct version for your operating system and language, then download and install it. If for some reason the install on your computer when you bought it was installed incorrectly or is corrupted, the download and install will correct this problem.

Thank you MIke. I got one of those little messages that you sometimes get on your computer down on the right hand lower part of the screen and it said something about an Adobe update. So I clicked on it and I think I have a new one. Hopefully, it will work when I get my courage up enough to check back in on the Personalizer. Thank you for your help.

I tried to access my eticket again yesterday using the new improved system put in place for this very purpose. No luck, apologies, your details could not be retrieved. Rang Cunard. Very nice chap listened politely then told me that the system was working. I begged to differ. Voice-, 'Just one moment sir' in the kind of polite voice that tells you that the speaker is rolling his eyes, pulling a 'can you believe this' face at his nearest colleague and thinking 'why do I always get the dozy old sods who couldn't find their rearends with a map and a flashlight'. Five minutes of bloody Greensleeves ensue. Voice- 'Er excuse me sir but you've printed these tickets twice before'. I deny this and ask for a lawyer. Voice-, Bear with me a moment sir'. Greensleeves... Voice,- 'But sir you printed them off again at 11.08'. Me-, 'but it's only 11.10 now and I've been on the phone listening to bloody Greensleeves since 6.45. Voice, 'Err, bear with me a moment sir', Greensleeves...the 'sirs' are now being hissed through firmly gritted teeth, the eyes have rolled to such an extent he now has a strabismus. Voice,' There was definitely an attempt to print them at 11.08 sir. OH I see, wait, wait a minute sir, I think that might have been me trying to print them off'. Now I'm rolling my eyes and etc etc... Voice, 'what I 'll do for you sir (the tone tells me that this is an enormous favour above and beyond the call of Cunard) 'What I'm going to do for you sir is (fanfare of trumpets, angel choirs, dramatic roll of drums) I'm going to print them off and POST THEM TO YOU.'
Exits stage left whistling bloody Greensleeves.

I sit in my rocker alternately sobbing and singing ,
' Alas my lo-ove you do me wro-ong .......'
Senior Management hisses through gritted teeth ' will you STOP singing that bloody song'
This is not actually a question.
A Bewildered Gari.

True they don't, or didn't, ask for your tickets at Soton. But the pre-cruise docs which have all the info about this all new, all singing, all dancing system state quite firmly that you need to have the eticket to present at the check-in desk along with your passport, driving licence, inside leg measurement and the names of 5 members of parliament and 6 blood relatives.

I agree - why should we have to QA their software on our dime - Cunard should be thankful we are bringing up these problems and be generous in granting us On-board credit for our time and effort in debugging their software.

Discovered another "feature" of the Princess/Cunard booking system - when records are "linked" the last record's information overwrites the info in the previous record's second passenger data.

Marketing calls it a "Feature" - programers call it a "Bug":D

This November I am doing 3 B2Bs - EBTA, two day to Cherbourg, then WBTA. Have one friend on the EB, solo to Cherbourg, another friend on the WB. Went to Voyage personaliser and had all the problems mentioned earlier. Strangest thing was the address info of the WB friend was on the EB friends address.

Same sort of thing happened last November - booked a roundtrip NYC-Caribbean voyage as a double. I later booked the TA before the Caribbean voyage as a single. My traveling companion got to NYC to check in for the voyage and there was no record of his booking even though it was the first one made. Managed to get it straightened out but it was not a pleasant experience. Been after Cunard for months trying to figure out how this happened - the problem is with the linking.

Anyone notice that the World Club numbers have the leading 01 missing from them on the Voyage Personaliser - the full number is in the World Club record.

Also, on one of my bookings, the age of my traveling companion decreased by 12 years - his WC data was correct - strange things happening in the "Wonderful World of Windows"

Yet another day and nothing has been resolved as far as I know. Today was totally frustrating, trying to get in to my Voyage Personalizer and see just what I have put on it so far. I have finished some of it and saved some for later--the stuff that is stored away someplace is the later stuff. They seem to continue to feel as though I need a different Adobe. There doesn't even seem to be a place where I can write a nasty e-mail. Soon, I will have to call like Gari did, but I will need to call the US Cunard where the music won't be as pleasant as Greensleeves, I am sure. And I will bet that the voice that I talk to knows less than Gari's voice too!

Did anyone else have any luck today?

I assume that you have an earlier version of Acrobat installed, Open it and click on Help on the top line, then look in the drop down menu for Check for Updates and it should then check and advise you whether you need to upgrade and you just click your way through it. You actually onlyneed the Reader to access the pdf file that I believe you are trying to access and if the above doesn't work or you don't have the program installed then Google "Acrobat Reader" and down load it free, it will almost self install. Any problems I will try to assist

It's not your computer. Today I was able to open up my travel documents with Adobe 7.0. I think they have just been having trouble transitioning the Cunard.com Personalizer to the P&O system. I remember when we first chose Cunard...we liked all the things that made Cunard different to all the others. You would think that in the first place...Cunard could have sent out a message to all Cunard Members saying something like "Over the next 30-60 days there will be changes instituted throughout the Voyage Personalizer System. There will be some minor problems initially, for which we apologize for the inconvenience; however, the problems will be rectified by the completion of the changes. In the event that your cruise is due to depart within the next 30-60 days, please contact (email address) to verify all of your information. We appreciate your patronage and your patience throughout this process." It seems that Cunard takes a passive line of thinking when it comes to CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Another suggestion...anyone who provides feedback on this process (Voyage Personalizer) via a specific link, should an OBC.

How have the mighty fallen, where the glamour of yesteryear, gone, all gone, Alas Alack and Lackaday.

Incidentally there is another stern reminder that you NEED the eticket at check-in.

Seemed to be working ok this morning, but they are clearly having problems.

J

After a week, I was actually able to sign on today...at the Cunard US site...But, the 'emergency info' page will only accept British addresses and phone numbers. No place for a US State...and I completed the entire form four times trying different ways to enter a US phone number, only to have the entire page wiped clean and be told to enter a "numerically correct" phone number. :(

The IT staff must be off on a cruise with the CC IT boyz.

I entered the state code (MD) in the "County" block and it correctly registered as Maryland. Has no problem entering a phone number. Did you select the correct county from the drop down menu?

I had the same problem. I tried entering the state in the "county" block and was careful not to put hyphens or parentheses in the phone number block, but it still kept wiping out my entire form whenever I clicked enter. I've got a couple of months to keep trying, so hopefully at some point it will staighten out. I wonder if it has something to do with Windows 7.

leave the "county" blank and it works fine. i figured this out based on your observation--after several frustrating tries. i guess as long as they have the zip code the state doesn't matter. and hopefully cunard will never never need the emergency info, anyway!

I have had no luck trying to view my travel documents. Has anyone been able to do this? Any tips? I find this new Voyager Personaliser incredibly frustrating and not the least user friendly. Is this expected to improve?

Voyagerdreamer, Have you received an e-mail from Cunard saying that your documents are ready to print? I read on here that you will get the notification from Cunard via e-mail and you follow the instructions that they give you in order to view and print your documents.

On the old version you could go online and view your booking/reservation and confirm your cabin, dining, etc. And this is often how you would learn if you had been upgraded. I cannot find anywhere where you can see the basic information regarding your booking. I know you can't print your eticket until later, but thought that the travel documents might be the place to find this info. Is the info still online somewhere and accessible?

Earlier in this thread someone gave this bit of information..I tired it and it works for me.

Try this link https://secure.pocruises.com/cp/inde...4&brandCode=CU (https://secure.pocruises.com/cp/index.asp?pageID=4&ABTA=V8764&brandCode=CU) (was posted on another thread here recently) - works fine for me (but the guy at the Oz Cunard office said info entered may not stick to our bookings and we should get an Oz version soon and be advised when available)

You need to click on travel summary. Then you should click on the space that reads 'to access your travel summary click here'. It's a similar set up on both the UK & U.S versions.

Well, I go on the Cunard site about every day and when I click on Travel Summary and click the "ckick here", all I get is them saying I need another new Adobe. I still have time, so I will wait and see if they can ever figure out that I already have Adobe. If they can't, they will have to send me something in the mail, I guess. It is quite annoying, though.

That is where I would expect to find it, but the system says
"Apologies, there was a problem retrieving your document."

Very frustrating.

This is a .pdf file so is it still updated daily? It looks as if it is just the original booking details.

Our was updated with the cabin details after booking (we booked guarantee) - I think there is a message saying it will be updated within 24 hours of a change occurring.

Indeed on the very similar P&O one (I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same engine) - we got email notification from P&O of an upgrade (), which wasn't added immediately, but was within the aforementioned 24 hours.

It will be updated if there are any changes to your booking. Mostly people check it to see if they have been upgraded. And if you are lucky enough then usually this will be the first place you see it. Other than being told the happy news at the check-in desk.

When I first wrote on this thread I had been able to look up my voyage summary on cunard.com . Last year I booked on the Cunard site and used that site VP with no problems. This year I used an online travel agent and was able to view my summary at the cunard.com site until a few weeks ago when I began this thread. Since then the cunard site finally came up with the VP but clicking on it never brought up anything. So someone in this thread suggested P&O VP and there I am able to see my summary. Thank goodness! I did email Cunard and ask what the problem was and of course they went round and round with excuses that seemed useless to me. Anyway....I'll just have to keep checking on the P&O site. Thanks for all your input.

I've just tried to access my travel documents again and once more got the message 'Apologies, there ws a problem retrieving your documents'

It's not a problem as I've got the etickets via the travel agent after some prompting. But it's not a good reccomendation of the system to be unable to acces your stuff just a week before you go. So one can't check the cabin No. or dining arrangements etc. and I've got every version of Adobe known to man.

I am continuing to try as well, but to no avail. Now, when I go into the Cunard site my information is covered up by this message.

Thank you
All the information needed to join your voyage has been supplied. You can still use this system to review and update your details. We look forward to welcoming you on board The Most Famous Ocean Liners In The World™ soon.

But this message is placed over the information. I can't seem to move it to see what is under it and if it is correct or not. How on earth will I update anything if I can't move the message? On top of that, when I try to access the Travel Documents I continue to get the message that I need to update my Adobe. I have done that multiple times. I have every version of Adobe known to man-- and woman and beast as well!:)

Its all quite simple, when you see the message that is covering your summary details, look above at the big red oblong box, access to your travel documents, click on it and it will open with all your details

if you need to update anything on it, just look to the left of your message and click on what you wish to update and it will open

I am still having the same problem you are -- getting the "Apologies...." response. Also tried what one person on line suggested re going to P & O site and their VP but it doesn't recognize my information. Is there any "trick" to getting Cunard reservations recognized on this site? Still looking for help. Is there anyone at Cunard that I should contact? So far they have not been at all helpful on this.

Update: Although I still cannot open the Travel Document on line, I can now save to my hard drive and then open there. So solved, over, and no further postings on this topic from me! Thanks all!:)

I have just successfully accessed the Voyage Personaliser on www.cunard.com (http://www.cunard.com) for an upcoming voyage I am making. But when I enter the site after agreeing to the terms, I get the following message and CANNOT do anything else, including just looking at my information, etc.

Thank you

Is this problem widespread?

Either click on the red box that says ""Click here to access your travel documents" or on one of the items in the menu on the left side. This should work.

I was only able to fill out part of the form that asked for personal information. Every time I entered our emergency contact person I received an "Error!" notice. This went on for a week, and I finally contacted a Cunard agent who was more than happy to help me. The following day I was able to print out our itinerary and e-tickets. But now I am having problems printing out the luggage labels! Looks like I'll have to email that very nice Cunard agent again...
