What a great view of the Ryndam! Thanks for the link!
Could I ask y'all a favor (any of you). Could you save an image of the Oosterdam when she's in port on Feb 5? I'll be boarding her that day and would love to have an image of her from the tower cam when she's in-port that day. You could just e-mail it to me.

Thanks!

Jim, Unfortuately it looks nasty, cold and rainy in SD today just like here in Vegas. My poor DH is still working in this rainy weather and I am sure is wet and cold down in SD. I am hoping he can come home this next Friday. Too bad the nice day San Diego had on New Years Day could not of stayed longer for those on the Ryndam and my DH:(

Greg aka revneal I have put it on my calender to try to send you the picture of the Oosterdam in port on Feb. 5th I should be working that Saturday.

One of these days I need to post a picture of the Inaugural Mexican Riviera plate for the Oosterdam that my TA gave me several weeks ago. I was really touched that she gave me the plate. Her HAL Rep gave it to her and she immediately thought of me:)

I watched her departure tonight-right on time, if not a couple of minutes early! It was still overcast but not raining then, at least from what I could tell, but we sure had enough rain up here today. But, at least we don't have to shovel rain! :)

I saw the Ryndam docked this evening as a background shot during our evening news.

It was a rather un-San Diego weather day today--cold, wet! Looks like most of the week will be like this.
Hope things improve next month--a few of us will be boarding the Oosterdam!!! I'm so excited about my first HAL cruise!!:)

I watched the Ryndam leave, wishing it was February 14th and I was on it. Rain and 60 degrees in San Diego is still better than rain and 35 degrees in Toronto. of course, after watching what has been happening in South Asia, we should never complain about our whether.

... after watching what has been happening in South Asia, we should never complain about our whether.Isn't that the truth! We're so hard to please! We in Las Vegas had nearly twice the amount of rain in 2004 than normal. And this year we're starting off with a real deluge. But I'll take whatever Mother Nature sends from the sky as long as our cruise weather is perfect! ;)

I see that the Satendam is in San Diego today, this has been an active week at the cruise ship terminal in San Diego:D Of course I am watching to see how the weather is there for DH. He is still working in SD at the airport and hoping to come home this Friday. It has certainly been a WET 2 weeks. Here and there.

What is the other ship in port today in San Diego? Looks smaller than the Statendam.

There were 4 ships in port yesterday! Looks like a another beautiful day in San Diego, however. I also would like to know the ID of the other ship!

I tried to Zoom in and see if I could read any names on her but could not find any. Maybe someone from San Diego might know. Other wise when I speak with DH tonight he may have been able to tell. When going to the airport I think he gets close to the ships.

I'm not from San Diego ... but I can tell you the other ship alongside the Statendam today (Wednesday) is Silversea's Silver Shadow. You can tell by zooming in and seeing the crew members serving Beluga and champagne to the guests waiting to board. :D
