Advice for Spring Transatlantic

We are on the Eurodam leaving Ft. Lauderdale on April 3rd. Would love some advice about what to expect temperature wise on the 8 days crossing to Lisbon. Am trying to decide what kind of clothes to pack for the sea days. Thanks!

We asked the same question before out T/A in 2006. We took a lot of sweaters, turtlenecks, etc., based on what we heard, and they never left the drawer - we lived in polo shirts!

I think the answer is layering and flexibility. Both the Atlantic and Europe at that time can be hot or cold, so take a mix and be flexible!

Thanks for the link. We've used wunderground to check for historic temps in cities but didn't know about the marine part. It shows the water temp as ranging from upper 60's to low 70's. We're used to Lake Michigan temps so those sound wonderful!!

We have done 4 of these spring TAs in the past 4 years and quickly learned that there is no way to predict the weather. On two of the crossings we had near perfect weather, smooth seas, warm days, etc. On one of the crossings we had the weather from hell when a major storm came across the US ran into our ship a day out of Florida and stayed with us the entire way to Europe. In fact, we had 3 straight days where the seas were running about 35 feet and they never could fill the pools or even the spas. The 4th cruise had mixed weather with some rain, moderate seas, and some sun. Bottom line is you need to be prepared for any weather except snow :)
