I was exploring the Holland America web site and noted that self-serve laundry is not available on this ship. Any thoughts on how I am to iron my clothes? (I also read that irons in your stateroom are a no-no). It's easy to say "don't bring anything that will wrinkle" but not very reasonable. I know one of you seasoned vets will be able to help me out here! :)

ok, so I found the "search this forum" button! Apparently I can pay $20-ish dollars a bag and get laundry done .. seems steep just to have hubby's shirts and a pair of pants or two pressed .. but I am sure I will get over it when I see him looking all dashing! I guess I can send them all on the first day and then they would be ready when we wanted to wear them. I just know that they won't come out of the suitcase looking as good as they did when I packed them!

Unfortunately, that $20 bag is 'wash and fold', not pressing, although some things will come back on hangers. But you can send things out to be pressed. EM

In your closet there will be a laundry bag and a list of the prices to wash, dry cleam and press items. It can get expensive when you do items individually.
You might try something like Wrinkle Release.
