Are there duty free items available for purchase aboard Mariner?

Specifically duty free cigars (Cuban) and cigarettes?

I am hoping that this thread only receives one or two responses and not a segue into a social discussion of smoking.

TIA

I know the cigars are available. Do not know about the cigarettes.

I don't think sell cigars by the box but they have a cigar "menu" with some nice Cuban selections. I think the bartenders may also have a limited selection of cigarettes.

I believe Tombo is correct. The Cuban cigars are nice but no bargain -- you will find them in the Connoiseur Club which is also supposed to be the only place you can smoke them. Depending on your itinerary you may find better deals in certain ports, though you'll need to be wary of counterfeits. There are single packs of a few major cigarette brands available at the bars. If you are embarking from Fort Lauderdale you might want to stock up before boarding, especially if your preference isn't one of the "major" brands. Last time I was in FLL cigarettes were remarkably cheap due to low state taxes (who knows, maybe that has changed by now).

If you do embark in Fort Lauderdale and if you have extra time, I understand that cigarettes are a good deal less expensive at the indian reservation which is not far from the port.

Cigarettes onboard are 3.75 per pack. Have no idea what brands. Cigars I don't smoke, but they have a big selection in the Connoiseur's Club.

I heard that early on in my cruise, Rally, but think they realized the error of their ways in those prices! ;)
