Don't forget that full itinerary details are currently available through the following pages for Australia/New Zealand (http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/ha4009/australia.htm) and Asia/Pacific (http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/ha4009/asia.htm).

I sure wish I had known before we booked the Princess Cruise. We leave on Saturday and it has been fraught with problems. No visa yet. Pre cruise tour changed around so we miss most of Sydney and on and on.
We love HAL. So far not impressed with Princess and their service.

I certainly do hope that our Mariner magazine will arrive while we are gone.

Didn't you do the on-line electronic visa?

Which cruise are these prices for and where are these prices from? I went to HAL site and they are not pricing New Zealand and Australia cruises that are listed on the link in this thread.. most odd.

DKbrewster:
Princess' service included the visa. I had no idea they charged for it but it was buried in the taxes and then it came to the foreground. After final payment was made.
It was their responsibility.
After a lot of calls from our TA, they finally did it yesterday afternoon and we have it now. They did it 3 days before we left. We could have been denied boarding without it.
Anyway, Australia must have a visa. Good to know for everyone.
We are leaving in 2 days and now there is a snowstorm with freezing rain.

Local Lady:
Thanks for your good wishes. 2 more days before we leave. We have a cruise tour beforehand. Also 2 days early to get over jet lag. We will be in the air and at airports for over 30 hours before we get to Cairns.
Sydney is 16 hours ahead of us due to passing the international date line.
We are all set now and hope that the snow storm doesn't interfere with our plans.
Yes, I will let you know how we like Australia & New Zealand. We are optimistic about THAT part of it anyway.
