Hello and welcome :)
Can't answer all your questions but will kick off with what I can.
1. Yes
2. Very difficult to determine. Have a look at the excursions guide in your ticket booklet - get an idea of which trips you think you might want to do and add that up. That will be one element of your onboard costs. The next will be your drinks bill - that is something only you will be able to work out. On a thread on here is a copy of the bar menu for Spirit - have a look at that and try to estimate what you will drink and add that on too. The only other onboard expenses might be for anything you purchase from the shop or duty free (a couple of bottles of 1L size spirits about £8 - depends on type/brand - don't know about cigarettes), a small amount if you choose to join any payable onboard activities, spa treatments, beauty salon etc., bottled water and finally if you wish to tip your waiter/cabin steward a little extra for that too.
Everyone is different so it's impossible to guess what you might spend - if you adopt more of a DiY approach to ports or just wander off yourselves, you don't have a big excursions bill so your final account would be much less than someone who goes on a Thomson trip everyday.
3. There are threads regarding currency and a lot of scanned literature from this itinerary posted by grannypops. Check those out - they will give you some background (the beginning of the thread will be where the info you need is to be found) and then if you have any further questions, just ask.
Hope you enjoy your first cruise. :)

I came back from this cruise yesterday
I think most of the cabins cabins have a hair dryer (we were in deluxe so don't know about the others)
The amount of money you spend depends on yourself - you can spend nothing (but you would need to limit your drinks to tea, coffee and water). The three of us spent £450 last week - the majority of that was on trips. Drinks wise we would have a bottle of wine with our evening meal (£12), and a drink of two in one of the bars (about £3 a pop)
I only went on the trip in Israel, you don't need money - we took some and bought a couple of drinks...but the cruise send a "snack pack" on the trip, and you get lunch provided.
Enjoy yourself - the trip is great, Ray, Richard at the team have a great programme of events. I particulaly enjoyed the napkin folding, quizes and shows....

hi zinnieliz,we went on the destiny and there was a hairdrier in drawer.that was inside deck 5. assume they all have them. if you pay your onboard bill with your credit card you dont need cash except when your off the ship.also it gives you a few weeks before you have to pay it off.thats what i did and as long as you pay it all off theres no interest.we did med renneissance and only took about £300 though we were all inclusive.we brought 800 ciggies in spain too and it was plenty.we,ll be off again on october 28th on red sea voyage.cant wait.all your tea/coffee/water is free onboard and the ship sells bottle water to take on trips with you.as you get off their by the exit.on board you are given a card and when you buy drinkor anything it goes on the card and you pay at end.no money exchanges hands on ship.we gave our cabin steward £20 at end as he was so good.thats the only cash we spent on board.if your going to tip take a few envelopes to put money in its better than handing cash to them.dont forget to take adapters for plugs, also we took 4 way extension.itwas very handy, gives you extra plugspace.ade.
