It looks like the Zaandam is out of service this month. Does anyone know what kind of work is being done?

It's getting the Signature of Excellence upgrades - major changes.

It will be a pretty busy drydock for them, they will have an additional 1000 workers working with them, according to one of the provision officers we met on board. They will get a Neptune lounge, the new spa area and the new teen area. After the drydock, they will be in Jacksonville for hotel duty for the Super Bowl......jean :cool:

That would explain the 4 day cruise right after the Super Bowl, but it seems there is nothing scheduled for 2/12.

Various previous threads that reflect all that was done aboard Ryndam recently can be very indicative of that which will be done aboard Zaandam . . .

One of the crew on board said there was a charter of the ship in February sometime....jean :cool:
