In looking at some itineraries/prices on the HAL website, there are some categories of cabins that are marked closed. Some have expected prices listed. Like $1,200 or $1,300. Then several times (on different cruises) there are cabins marked closed ... inside and veranda ... with $100,146 and some cents listed. What's up with that? Any ideas?

A computer hiccup. When they sell out a category they generally change the price to the "brochure" price but occasionally the computer decides to put a truely outlandish number in there instead. (Actually somebody typoed a piece of the code and the result is the crazy numbers that occasionally pop up.)

That often happens when a category is closed - shows some ridiculous price and I think it's just a computer glitch or someone got carried away typing the zeros into the pricing. :D

Come on Jim...you don't want to spend $100,000 for an interior room for 7 days?????? :p

Ha! First thing I thought of was that HAL was saying "sure, the category is closed ... and it's a very high-demand unit. But if you want to fork over that kind of dough we'll be happy to bump the poor dork out and let you have it."
:D

So, I guess then that the Penthouse Suite would be a bargain????? ;)

I've seen it and reported it to HAL.. they say it's a computer error - except when a catagory is closed and they have a waitlist.... it is usually a bit higher than the catagory above - especially the guarantees. :)
