Beach trip help?

Anyone know what it would cost to get to Friar's Bay beach, we are docking in Phillipsburg (I think), I guess the alternative is to rent a car?

I think we would enjoy going to the beach then into Marigot for some shopping, then back to the ship but an idea of cost would be great.

Well, the SXM taxi Association (http://www.sxmtaxi.com/rate.htm) doesn't list prices to Friar's, but it will be more than the price listed to either Orient or Marigot, $18 or $15 for two persons one way.
