We have sailed Princess and Oceania for the last several years but are on the Rotterdam out of Seattle for a 7 day Alaska cruise the end of June... I am looking to see if HAL has products similar to these Princess:
1) Coffe card - unllimited fresh brewed coffee and 15 "specialty coffee drinks" about $25.00
2) Chef's dinner - behind the scenes kitchen tour with champagne and treats then a 6 course specialty dinner - limited to 12-14 people - $75.00pp
3) Ultimate balcony dinner - dinner served on the balcony with tablecloth and china, waiter and server - includes flowers, picture, drinks, 4 course dinner, wine, coffee and dessert - $50.00 pp
4) The Sanctuary - adults only area with loungers, special food and attendents - about $12.00 per day if booked for the week
Any special tips that would add to our experience??
Thanks so much,

1) Coffe card - unllimited fresh brewed coffee and 15 "specialty coffee drinks" about $25.00 Java Cafe is gone -- can get free coffee in the Lido. There is a coffee card that you can buy (if still available -- slowly being phased out) for use on speciality coffees in the Esploration's Cafe. Coffee card -- 10 speciality coffees at the Exploration's Café for $29.90.
2) Chef's dinner - behind the scenes kitchen tour with champagne and treats then a 6 course specialty dinner - limited to 12-14 people - $75.00pp Chef't Table is offered on some ships -- $149 per person.
3) Ultimate balcony dinner - dinner served on the balcony with tablecloth and china, waiter and server - includes flowers, picture, drinks, 4 course dinner, wine, coffee and dessert - $50.00 pp NO -- but you can order from the regular menu to eat dinner on your balcony.
4) The Sanctuary - adults only area with loungers, special food and attendents - about $12.00 per day if booked for the week No.
Any special tips that would add to our experience??
Thanks so much,
Hope this helps.

You will see some wonderful changes on HAL.
We now have flat screen tv's in every cabin along with DVD players, Exploration Cafes with computers, library, board games, headphones for enjoying music of your choice, and fabulous coffee bar at which you can purchase (for very moderate cost) great specialty coffees.
All cabins have robes and on Vista and Signature Class ships, there are robes in every room. If you've not yet tried HAL's Euro top beds, you're going to love it. Extra large bath towels and delicious Elemis products for the bathroom,
Spas have therapy pools, all sorts of treatments and spa services.
There's a Culinary Center for cooking instruction with Pinnacle and Chefs. Also some hands on cooking by guests with ship's Chefs.
You're going to see lots of wonderful changes.
Welcome back. :)
