The mattress are for sale on the shop HAL site.

Just beware -- several people here have ordered them and they did not last. Claim that they are not exactly the same mattress as the ones on the ship.
I will try to hunt up threads on this subject for you.

The HAL mattresses are among the best in the cruise industry.

I agree I too thought the mattress on the Eurodam was wonderful! It sure beat the pullout that I slept on the 2 previous cruises! Hopefully they are just as good on the Rotterdam next month.

Those Euro-style mattresses are one of the best, if not the best, improvements that came out of the Signature Of Excellence enhancements in 2004/2005. Look forward to laying down on those puppies everytime I get on a dam ship:)

Are they HAL wide, or just on particular ships? We'll be on our first HAL cruise pretty soon!

Fleetwide, by now. They were part of phase 1 of what HAL calls their Signature Of Excellence (SOE) improvements. Other parts of the first phase were:
Luxury beds and bed linens upgrades, waffle-weave bathrobes and Egyptian cotton towels to all cabin categories, new massage-type showerheads and professional-grade hair dryers in all bathrooms, new flat-screen LCD televisions with DVD players, make-up mirrors with halo lightning, fresh flowers and complimentary fruit baskets in all cabins, a Culinary Arts Center presented by Food & Wine magazine, for gourmet cooking demonstrations and interactive classes; an expanded Greenhouse Spa and Salon offering thermal suite treatment, a hydrotherapy and thalassotherapy pool and heated ceramic lounges; and the ”Loft” and the “Oasis”, respectively, an interior and exterior area designed exclusively for teens (ages 13-17).

A good nights sleep on a cruise ship mattress? You mean I won't need to ask for an egg crate mattress pad as soon as I step on board? Yahho! is the T-pool only for use if you buy into the spa program?

Yes.
The T-pool is not the same on the Ansterdam as it is on the Vista and Signature ships. It is much smaller, more like a hot tub.
But it does the job.

LOL - my DH and I were mattress shopping on the weekend and he asked the salesperson if they sold mattresses to HAL as they were the best mattresses he had ever slept on. Needless to say - we are still trying to find anything that is similar.

We just got back from 33 days on the Rotterdam. Would have loved to bring that bed home with me - absolutely heavenly. And .. they give you three pillows each!

Ah...Globug, you will NOT have to order an egg crate...the beds are as wonderful as everyone here says...we look forward to them for each sail, and in fact, they have made the difference between us sailing on one line or another.
Yes, there are threads that talk about having bought "the same" mattress from the HAL sight, but they never seem to be the same...so I'd be careful since they're expensive. Just book a cruise and enjoy!
