Yep, every single one of you is right!! Cruises are addictive!

We just booked the November '05 Transatlantic on the Prinsendam, with stops in Morocco, the Canaries, and our own dear home island of Sao Miguel (Ponta Delgada). We can go home and see how our Rottweiler, Fluffy, is getting along with the house-sitter, and then go to Key West from Fort Lauderdale to make my Ma happy.

Lane and Susan:) :)

trubey,

I am going on my first Hal Westerdam cruise (actually first cruise ever) Dec 11-18, 2005. Since your cruise is almost as far away as mine, what do you do to keep yourself from going nuts waiting for the cruise to get here.

Normally I don't plan vacations for this late in the year. However, both my WDW and cruise are within 3 weeks of each other, so I have to play the waiting game.

Lane and Susan, My DW and I will be stopping at Horta and Sao Miguel on the May 9th cruise from NYC to Lisbon on the Prinsendam. Do you have any suggestions for places for us to see while we are there? :)

Thanks,

Ruffin

Sure, email us at rhino(at)sapo(dot)pt and we'll give you a few suggestions. Might be a good idea if you tell us the kind of thing you like; local shopping, mall shopping, wandering around looking at weird buildings, scenery . . .

Hi Lane and Susan!

I'm so glad that we didn't scare you away from the Prinsendam forever. The cruise we shared was the best ever. Bruce and I are so happy we met you.

Hah! Do you think it was the stunning cuisine or the luxurious staterooms that brought us back? Heck no -- it was all the wonderful people we met, all intelligent, interesting, intrepid, and of course slightly loony -- that brought us on board again.

Better idea is to take one before then to get into the swing of things. :) If you are in Portugal you can find a short 7 or 10 job just to whet your appetite.
