The products you listed sound fantastic. I will just bring our practically empty personal care products from home knowing that there will be some great products supplied to the room.

You are welcome.
Your cabin stewards will replace them -- they barely last 2 -3 days.

I have never come accross a decent disposable razor. :D
I like the Elemis products but some people seem to have an alergic reaction to it; it happened to a friend of ours. AFAIK he does not generraly have an issuee with soaps; at first he thought it was sunscreen he put on right after he took a shower the first morning. When he showered another time using the soap the reaction started again.
If you have not used Elemis before you may want to pack a small emergency supply of something else.

Just returned from Wal-Mart with assorted odds and ends. I feel like a space cadet....I could not find my car! This whole upcoming cruise seems like a dream and any minute the alarm will go off and I will be back in the everyday world.

Thank you for posting this!
I wouldn't have thought to bring my own shower gel, but I'll need to seeing as I'm allergic to both mint and lavender.

My DH takes many medications and is very alergic to the Elemis products.
So sadly we have to take our own.

I bring my own shower gel and face cleaner. My hair does well with the shampoo and conditioner but that could be the water on the ship.
My husband who seems to be allergic to everything, uses plain soap to shower. Yes, from home.

I found the conditioner was not good enough for my color treated hair. Next cruise I will take my own. The rest of the products were OK.

I find both the soaps turn into a gooey messes after just a couple of uses. Last cruise we brought a small pump style liquid hand soap and found it much nicer to use at the sink.

I am so excited to be going on this cruise! I am ready to be pampered. I am almost totally packed. I plan on bring the kitchen sink and just need to figure out how to un-attach it from the plumbing!

To OP .. you can also pick up what you need in Vancouver prior to sailing if you don't want to deal with TSA issues. We generally pick up a larger than TSA allows shower gel and then leave it (for the room steward).
I like the Elemis products ... at first. And then something just starts to happen to my skin. Not sure if it is the products or sea air or the sun or what... but I do tend to bring some of my own items.
Remember, you're not quire leaving the good ole u s of a. ;)

I am excited on your behalf.:)
I really love the Elemis selections provided. You should be fine using them.
The salt air and the change in routine do a number on my face and hair. It might be helpful to bring a little scarf or hat to protect your hair if you hang out on the verandah a lot. I do.
I pack a tube of the Olay gentle facial cleanser too. The Elemis is fine, but as I said before, the salt air is drying.
Have lots of scandalous fun. Happy trip!

Only 2 more days and I will be in our cabin making heavy decisions.....use Elemis product or use products from home? I might have to go out on the balconey and gaze at the view as I meditate on this weighty decision.

I absolutely love the Elemis products but I wish that HAL provided the soaps in a dispenser like some of the other cruise lines. I also wish they provided the liquid lavender soap that NCL provides. HAL does have it in the Spa area for the bathrooms there.
Also I did notice when we were on the NCL Pearl a few weeks ago we stayed in a Suite and the Elemis products offered appears to be of a higher quality. The Hari conditioner was creme color not that white that HAL has for the conditioner and for my lightened hair it tneded to work much better.
But over all the Elemis products are great:)

I love this community - you all have such great information and are always willing to share - Thanks Krazy Kruisers for the following:
1.7 ounce bottle - Pure Shine Shampoo - infused with the aroma of Lime, Basil, and Grapefruit. (for example)
DW gets a severe headache when she ingests or applies things with grapefruit and/or orange extracts. Lime and lemon are fine, but grapefruit will knock her out for a good day or so... a heartfelt thanks from the both of us. Ryndam 6 June 2010 - almost there!

We haven’t had this issue for years, as we check ingredients in any “suspicious” products. Now we know beforehand and can pack accordingly – one less minor inconvenience on our first Holland America Cruise.

We do the same, Donna. We're used to using the hand pump style soap at home so brought along the smallest one I could find. I also pack my own shampoo and conditioner. I use Aveda "Color Conserve", and Aveda sells travel sizes, so I throw in some of those. I don't care for the Elemis products...except for the citrus soap that we use in the shower...I LOVE that soap!
