Hope California CCers are Okay

With the terrible mudslides in Ventura County and other places, here's hoping our fellow CCers in California are all safe and sound.

So far so good here, but our construction project has become our new swimming pool!:eek: We are hoping to finally have it dry out so we can repair our fence that was blown apart in the last storms. But compared to Florida's Hurricanes it is nothing, though we are saying a prayer to our friends to the South of us!:o

We are okay in Southern CA but I had to take a row boat to work. :D :D Areas of fwy construction have turned into a lake. Waterskiing may be a possibility for summer entertainment if this rain keeps up. Happy Sailing!

WE're finally "around the corner" here in the bay area - sun came out around noon and is supposed to stay with us (i.e., no rain) for at least a week.

I'm getting a tad worried about Ziggy7, though, doesn't Debbie live near San Diego?

Living in Los angeles between the Santa Monica mountains and the Pacific Ocean I was trying to figure out for awhile which way was the actual ocean since water was everywhere. But we came out safe and the sun shined beautifully today. Only downed trees, palm tree fronds and a lot of mud.

San Diego doesn't seem to have received nearly the rain that areas further north did. Our back yard is pretty soggy, and a giant bird of paradise from the house behind fell and bent our neighbors fence, but that is about it. I am so sorry about those north of us who lost their houses and their lives.

Yikes! Grew up in LA county... I just don't remember this kind of thing as a kid - also what's up with the snow??? We had the driest seasons at Holiday Hill ski resort when I was in High School!

I'm barely able to access the CC boards myself, sometimes not at all, and I'm hoping that's the problem for Ziggy because she has not posted anything since Sunday evening. Very unusual for her. I sure hope everything is okay with her. I'm going to try emailing her.

Hi Everyone,

Special Thanks to Dave and Heather for noticing I was missing hehehehe. I had a skin treatment that made me very sick and am just now felling stronger, I think I lost 10 lbs in 4 days hehehe. All is well, tests says no cancer! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Anyway all is well and I am on the mend, hope all the bon voyages I missed will be forgiving!

Being one that spent most of my life in LA (Valley girl fer sure!) and having family in several parts of the state I'm glad everyone is ok. Of course you really didn't have to send all that rain on here to Ohio! Though now that I think of it maybe HAL will be able to home port a ship here if it keeps up! Glad you're feeling better Ziggy!
