Cabo San Lucas Shore Excursion

Hi: I am brand new to the HAL boards. My husband and I are taking the RT cruise out of San Diego to the Mexican Riviera. We are discussing 2 shore excursions: He wants to take the Deluxe Coastal Cruise & Whale Watch (in a motorized vessel); I want to take the same excursion on the Pirate Ship Historical Sail & Whale Watching. LJ Pia, We were on the Ryndam in November and did the Deluxe Coastal Tour. In November it is not yet Whale Watching Season so it was just a tour but to our amazement it did turn into a Whale Watch. Just after they showed us the majority of things along the coast they spotted whales. The captain of the ship and his crew were extreme amazed. We starte d to follow this group or pod of whales all over. We were amazing close. This being a much smaller boat than the Pirate Ship we were able to get much closer to the whales and move much faster when another small fishing boat radioed them where they were spotting the whales. I am sure that the Pirate ship would be fun but not sure you would see as many whales as the Deluxe Coastal Tour.

Thank you for the advice on the Delux Coastal Tour in Cabo. We will be on the Ryndam in March and are looking forward to the cruise. I really enjoyed the pictures, and I also enjoyed the pictures of Alaska. We will be on the Volendam in May.

We'll be in Cabo in a couple of weeks and have already booked the pirate ship tour. I'll post about it after we get back.
