View Full Version : Prinsendam - Shuttle to Rome Airport

Does anyone know if transportation to FCO (Rome Airport) can be arranged from the ship at disembarcation? We have an 11:30 AM flight and will need transportation to the airport. What are the options if there is no bus available from the ship?

you had better change that to a later flight. you'll never make it.

We too had an 11:30 flight from FCO. We used Rome Cabs from Civitavecchia to the airport. Just Google Rome Cabs. Stefano, the gentleman who runs it is very profession and answers his email very promptly. Private care fare was 125E, but they also do larger bookings.
Our flight was a Sunday morning so very little traffic. We were there in plenty of time (8:45). But again I caution, this was a Sunday. From what I could see even the early HAL shuttles got there in about the same time.

We are also using Rome In Limo for our private car to FCO-Rome ariport. They are charging 200 euros for 8 of us-the more people, the cheaper. I doubt if you can change flights now, but hopefully you will arrive on a Sunday like the other people and make it in plenty of time. It will be tight but many people have that same departure time, including 4 people in our car and we arrive back on a Thursday. I am a worry wort, so we have the latest flight out to the US, 2 PM on Continental to Newark and then connect home to Charlotte by 11:30 PM. We are going to be very tired but will not be as stressed that day in Rome, worrying about getting to the flight on time. I think a private car is your only chance. Good luck and good sailing!

Given the time, I would suggest a Hal transfer. I have taken several flights from FCO at the end of a cruise and ships' transfers to make flights morning to us/canada seem to work out better. They will have you off the ship and to the fast. We have taken a 10:00 flight before and maybe it with time to spare. Safe travels.

Do you know if there is a shuttle to FCO available from the ship? We do not need the transfer service other than this one trip, so can we make the shuttle arrangements from the ship.

there are transfers listed under the shore excursions for my cruise. i don't know about yours, but you might try logging into you hal account to see.
